Please pray for the safety of my Facebook Friend Ayda Aly.

She lives in Alexandria, Egypt and rescues and cares for street cats there.

She is indeed amazing.. She cares for the cats out of her own pocket and has even rented rooms to keep them in. She vets them and tries to adopt them out.

I am concerned for her and the cats during the unrest in Egypt.

Can they even get FB right now with the internet cut off from most of Egypt? I wish her safe passage and that her kitty charges are safe also.

Azdebra, No as far as as I know she can’t get internet yet. She has not posted in days and I am worried. She is smart and I know will stay out of harm’s way. Her kitty charges are her life and I hope they are safe.

If the govt over there doesn’t turn on the internet by tomorrow, their banking systems and other agencies that depend on the internet will be in a world of hurt (more so than now).

Waves of white light for your friend, Caroline; Alexandria was a fascinating place, but the street kitties broke my heart. Bless her for the work she does, and may she and the kitties stay safe.

Buttercup, Ayda is like that, she will respond to all her posts no matter how long it takes. She got internet back today. She is doing her best to get food to her street cats. I plan on sending some money to her chip-in fund to help her.

I have not met her in person but I sure hope to someday. 🙂
