Need some of that healing light for Fredie. On Saturday I noticed that there was some blood in his urine and that his (not sure on the correct term) “pee-hole” was dripping blood. We took him straight away to the local vet who checked him out, gave us some antibiotics to inject him with daily for a week and told us to watch him to make sure he is still regularly peeing.
For the rest of Saturday and Sunday, he was peeing as usual (although outside of his litter tray), then last night I noticed that he was squatting and straining to pee, letting out what sounded like a grunt when he was trying to force it. He managed to let out some drops but they contained a white sandy substance. Fortunately there is a very good 24 hour vets service in the capital (about 10 miles away from home) so we got him straight in there where he was checked out. They ended up having to sedate him to apply a catheter as his bladder was almost full and then they attached him to a drip for a while to make sure he was properly hydrated. He is currently back home, but shut up in my office room with me as he still has the catheter in and a cone on. I have to take him back to the vets in about 6 hours so they can check him out again, and will also have the analysis back from the urine and blood samples they took last night.
He seems fine at the moment (well as fine as he can be with a cone and catheter on) just very sleepy and confused by the cone, but we could do with some of those good old TDK healing vibes.
He was and has been such a good boy throughout this whole ordeal and I hate seeing him like this.
