Hi, I had to take these kittens in at about 14 days old cause the owner was going to be evicted if she didn’t get rid of them. Anyway I’m just so new and terrified to lose these kittens. I love them and they are adorable, I have two. Okay so first they are 16 days old now and I’m really not sure if they are eating enough, they will suck on the bottle but then start chewing on it and stop. I have yet to see them poop and I’ve stimulated them after every meal. Also how many milligrams do I feed in one setting? I’ve looked it up but there is so many. Just looking for some experts in this area. If I lose a kitten I would never be able to forgive myself. Oh and their bellys are very plump but I hopes it’s not cause they haven’t pooped. I’m losing sleep just worrying about them :/

Welcome to TDK, thank you for taking the kittens in.

Here are some great links that will answer all your questions on raising kittens.

    Links to good kitten-raising sites:

Sorry it took so long, this time of day/night is fairly quite on here, there will be more TDKers along as the day begins. It’s late in the evening where I am in New Zealand.

Hi, V, you are doing a wonderful job. As well as the terrific sites that MS gave you, check out these video clips on how to raise abandoned kittens on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctfhMJUdxZA

They are great and will give you all the basic information you need. The clip on feeding has a feeding chart you can freeze, to show you how much food your kittens need at each stage. The Messybeast site is probably the best website to help with any problems or queries. Anything else, just come back to us, we are not vets but there are some very experienced kitten foster mums here and we will do our best to help.
