New name for kitten

Chika, as he the darling “Hope” we saw in the photo? Hope is a fine name, but if you find it too generic, think of a name that resonates with you. Literary characters or people (preferably no longer living) could appeal, as could names of places or geographical features. Remember that a name has to be easy to “call” – if you give him a very long name you’ll wind up shortening it in practice. There are specific naming rules for pedigreed animals, but the only rule I can think of for a foundling is that it won’t seem ridiculous or offensive if you call it out. Can you think of any ginger-haired characters you like or admire?

Simba and Aslan are good names for your little lion. Or thinking about gingers, what about Ron or Ronnie, from Ron Weasley in “Harry Potter” series?

“Means “red king” from Irish ruadh “red” combined with rí “king”. This was the name of the last high king of Ireland, reigning in the 12th century.”

Just some thoughts. Whatever name you choose, your kit is adorable!
