Hi all,

I would love your opinion on which one of these names you think sounds cuter: Zizou (pronounced zeezoo) or Jadu (pronounced jahdoo)? My kitten fits both, it’s just so hard for me to pick between the two. Zizou is just so fun to say and I love the sound of it and Jadu comes from a name of someone I’m really close to.

I personally like Zeezoo better because it rolls off the tongue better and has more nicknames attached to it.

I like Zizou too. But kitty probably won’t respond to anything you pick because only they know what their name really is. And you will probably end up giving her some cute nickname regardless of what her real name is. My solution would be to get a second kitty so I could use both names.

I tried to pick names for Kitty, yeah that didn’t work because all he responds to is Kitty 🙂

Zizou (short, zee) sounds good. Jadu means magic in the India.

Thank you all for your responses! I’m still having such a hard time! So you all don’t think it matters if the name has a meaning to it? That’s why Jadu came in because that person was part of the reason I got and was able to get the kitten. I love the name Zizou more though, it just doesn’t have significance to it.

As for Dave, not sure if that’s what I’m going for but thanks for the suggestion 🙂

Im just biased , i met a cat called “dave ” when i was at work and he was an awsome cat , and when the owners told me his name i almost fel over laughing

The people down the street have a cat named Alfred and a dog named Gertrude. I call them ‘kitty’ and ‘puppy-girl’.

Dave definitely makes me laugh as well as Alfred and Gertrude haha! So I named him Zizou. He just looks like a Zizou, there was no denying it so Zizou it is 🙂 Thank you all for your opinions. Really appreciate it!
