Some of my 6 furrybabies have unusual names and i was outside calling two of them just now as i hadn’t seen them all day. When i got back inside my bf was laughing his a*s off.

When i asked him what he was laughing at he said “i don’t even want too know what the neighbours think”

the two cats i was calling for was calling “smelly cat” and “Miss Hyde”

All my bf could hear was me yelling “Hyde smelly cat” if anyone was in earshot they would of heard “Hide smelly cat” not knowing my cats strange names they would just assume i was hiding cats that smell really bad πŸ˜€

I am now officially the crazy cat lady. My neighbours will probably start whispering about me when they see me next πŸ˜€

its my own fault really i should never have called him smelly cat but in my defence when i rescued him he was bloody smelly!! The name just stuck πŸ˜€

I don’t think we have given him a complex?

I wonder how I sound then when I call Theresa, who’s answer to Wee since she is so tiny, when she’s been bad and darted out the front door. Like the little piggy going all the way home lol

Sometimes I think we should consider what a name sounds like when we need to call loudly for the pet before naming them. A cute name or a name that is hard to pronounce may not be ideal for walking the street calling loudly or you could end up explaning to the police. Gigit ( girl + figit ) is not so bad but sugar ,cubby cheeks or skinny (you have to see them to understand their names ) yelled out loud when several of my nieghbor’s have young girls is a little differant

    Ha ha chubby cheeks!! πŸ˜€

Can you imagine shouting that out loud! You’d be taken away by the men in white coats πŸ˜€

That is the no 1 rule for naming pets in my house – it has to be a name that can be yelled out loud with ease …

Buttons, crazy cat lady is an honourable title, even if you do sound a little crazy calling the cats.

Our first cat as a married couple was called ‘Whitefoots’, it’s a lng story of rescuing feral kitties on a farm and the number of white paws we could see beneath an outbuilding. Believe me, Whitefoots is almost impossible to yell more than 3 times in quick succession without tongue and teeth getting into strife. We trained her to come to a whistle like the dogs and all ur cats since have answered to a whistle.

All ours answer to name i won’t use any other sounds to call them its a little party trick i have my friends thinks its.hilarious. I call them all individualy and each comes through the door when i call them and only come running in when they hear their name my friends make me call them in different orders all the time just to prove they know there own names and they aren’t just responding to my voice.

I will always have unusual names for my cats i think luckily i don’t have too many neighbours and the ones i do are only renting. They aren’t very nice so im hoping they won’t be around long they have a reputation for constantly moving without paying rent.

It will serve the house owner right if he is left with unpaid bills a lot of people are very annoyed he rented the.house to these people. They are even deal drugs from the house now!! :-[

Oh MS you have no idea how much i want them to move out. They have a reputation for dog stealing, robbing houses and drugs its so frustrating the house owner rented to them without ever considering his neighbours.

There are so many cars coming and going from this house its unreal!!!!!!! They are obviously collecting drugs on average on the weekends you could have a car going to and from the house every 10 mins infact as im typing this they are on the move again . One day we counted 4 different cars coming and going from the house wait for it……….. Over 30 times! And that was just in a 3hour period!!!!!! And im not joking that is not normal house traffic!!!!!

I have put a sign up saying ” drive slowly PLEASE!!” and a traffic cone outside our entrance so none of their drugged friends speed on the road cause its such a narrow road. They seem to take heed of the signs thank god i don’t want anything happening to my outdoor cats.

It’s so frustrating to see activities like that going on openly and nothing being done about it. The cone is a smart move. Trouble is if you more they may take exception to it and get personal. You just look after your cats and stay safe and do what you think is best.

Oh im staying well clear of them MS . I know the girl that’s in the house has cats too and by all accounts is mad about cats so she at least has some idea where im coming from so i don’t think anyone has taken exeption to sign or cone i think they’re glad im not directing my concerns to them just giving a suttle but clear request.

Anyway as my friends say they are only blow ins i’ll be living here the rest of my life so once my animals aren’t hurt and they haven’t stolen or damaged our property i won’t draw them on us.

Hopefully it won’t be long and they will be gone
