    At least the Nazis hated Brecht & Weill, which is a good point in their favour.

    I’ve been happier with names that end in a vowel, for calling them. NadiA… RenzO… LiviA… (I miss Nadja and Renzo so much…).

    Lagatta, it’s great and thanks goodness that Weill, being Jewish, went to the US.

    Way off topic, but back in uni I was registering for Theatre Lab and my advisor “assured” me that the year’s production was “Threepenny Opera” which he felt that I would be fantastic in as I could wonderfully carry off a 20’s look and can sing/dance. They did do a Brecht production “Coriolanus” more girls that guys in class, and of course I played a guy. A year of drudgery. I was not taking the class the year they did “The Beggar’s Opera” but no one in the cast could carry a tune. 18th century costumes were however awesome! Much nicer than the Roman style burlap sacks and slippery sandals that we were “privileged” to wear!

    Oh and I’m watching another excellent mini-series, “Genius” based on life and work of Einstein. Glad that he got to the US, too!

    Hi Kincaid – I’ve just seen your baby and wow is she adorable! So many of these names are great. I like the name Poppy!
    When you decide on a name, would you be so kind as to submit her pic to TDK? It would be awesome to see her featured!

    As soon as Baby Girl lets us know which name she likes; unfortunately she’s rejected most of the ones in this thread :/ ; I’ll be sure to submit a nice pic!

    My Love is trying to help me as much as he can, but unfortunately, she might just end up with a descriptive name at this rate…

    Sometimes they have to grow into their names. That’s how LilBit Guy got his name. I was going to call him Mitchum (after Robert Mitchum) but he was 3 wks. old and sat in the palm of my hand so I said he was “just a lilbit of a kit.” 🙄

    PG that’s how my big Calico got HER name! She smacked me in the face or hand every time I tried a Latin or Roman name on her and DEMANDED to be called Calypso. She very grudgingly answered to “Callie” eventually.

    well, we went through and six different iterations of “The List” and the winner is: Lilith!

    Our baby is a sweet little angel when she wants to be, and a howling demon she gets in a snit. So it just seemed appropriate. 🙂 Thanks to EVERYONE who contributed and tried to help us match her purrsonality to a suitable name!
