“Darling friend Nico,” whispers the Wolf to the beautiful little cat who sleeps between his paws.
Lady looks carefully into Nico’s pretty face. “What a handsome fellow! And look at those ears…”
“And he can hear with them now,” smiles the Wolf as Nico yawns and stretches himself awake.
“I CAN hear you! Both of you! And,” Nico pauses, stretching his front legs easily, “nothing hurts!”
“This is the Meadow, where you are young again, and there is only joy.” The Wolf’s head lifts and he watches the welcoming committee crossing the emerald grass in the bright morning sunlight.
“Your friends are waiting for you, dear one,” and Nico races across to join them.
Indie and Luigi bump against him in comradeship, and Teddy touches Nico’s nose with his own, laughing.
“Welcome, Nico!”
“You’re finally here!”
“Lovely to make your acquaintance,” and Wilbur grins at his new buddy.
“Hi, hi, hi!” Tiny Duke is so excited.
The sounds of the Meadow in the morning, welcoming little Nico, who waits for his Caroline. Surrounded by love, healthy, happy, and knowing only joy in the Life after life.
