This Special Day encourages us to be honest – today, and everyday. M. Hirsh Goldberg, former press secretary to a governor of Maryland, created National Honesty Day in the early 1990s after spending four years researching and writing “The Book of Lies” (Morrow).
He created this day, because he felt that the month of April, which begins with a big day of lying (April Fools Day), should end on a higher moral note.

I never made it back to the Cafe yesterday as I have had a busy day. had my first gym session in over 2 weeks. Puff gasp, managed to walk for 35 minutes without irritating my cough but called it a day at that. Don’t want to overdo it and my knees were beginning to hurt. Spent the afternoon on hold trying to report Mum’s landline fault. Repairman turned up and looks like it’s all sorted now. Wow did we get some rain over the weekend, one of our clients had 10 inches of rain in one day, that is a massive amount of rain. Today was quite hot between showers, muggy as.
Does anyone know if ECB has been on here lately? Does she know to clear her cookies and cache in order to log in? I haven’t seen her for some time. Is anyone else missing?
Oh my Lagatta, reading about Miss Livia being a naughty little stop out. I know how you felt, all sorts of things going through your mind making you even more anxious for her. Thank goodness she came in and made up for her transgression by snuggling up with you.
Headed for bed.

Good morning everyone! Beautiful day here, sunny and supposedly in the 70’s later.

MS, I miss ECB too, but don’t know if she has an email to be contacted. Sounds like you are on the mend, but why is it the cough is always the last thing to go? So aggravating isn’t it?

The pic of the white kitty sitting on the step is just adorable. While trying to type this, all 17 lbs. of Willow is trying to climb into my lap where the laptop resides and he is poking holes in my tummy and chest. UGH, big boy you are going to have to wait!

Lagatta, I was shocked and afraid for Livia when you said that she did not return. Now I am relieved for you and her. I wouldn’t be able to sleep either knowing she was out at night and unprotected.

Well, off to start my day by cleaning cat boxes!

“you without makeup” and “ASSHOLE”! Do they go together?

The way the white cat is sitting on the stairs creeps me out.

That’s a whole bunch of rain in one weekend. Rain is good but it needs somewhere to go. I glad you’re back to your workout, MS. It’s been a long week for you and Mr. MS.

Would ECB’s email be on our mailing list? I don’t know her name so don’t know who to look for.

There is a difference between being honest and being deliberately cruel, in the name of “honesty”. Sometimes the best thing to say is nothing.

And yes, I was so relieved when Livia returned, but it messed up the day after as I had a hard time working; had a “dry hangover”. Better now and working away on the book…

Great that you got to the gym, MS! Gotta start somewhere.
Maybe ECB is in lurk mode.

Relieved that Livia is home. I know that feeling you had all too well, thank you Shaddo.
It’s cold and windy and raw here in Jersey; earlier it was snowing!

PG, your wonderful pics seem to have gone AWOL! 🙁 But I did get a chance to apurreciate them earlier. That big floofy noir!!!! Be still my heart!

I have ECB’s email addy from Holiday Card List so just sent her quick note saying that some of us are wondering how she’s doing.

That must have been some stressful night Lagatta. No wqy that Dorry is ever going outdoors. Farthest he gets is sauntering down the hall under my supurrvision.

“Painfully honest” is this an oxymoron? Not sure. But it can be very not pretty.

Rained earlier, now a bit chilly and windy. Sounds a bit like temps in your n’hood JJ.

PG, your pics are back!!!

Purrhaps my ‘puter or mind is getting tricksy with me – nothing would surprise me! 🙄

Today feeling just that queasy, past 3 days guts attacked. Going to try to chill with TV and knitting.

And while DIY spin class was as per usual energizing, in hair drying room there was a woman who seems not to have ever washed her clothes or herself. She was drying her stinking bathing suit and her equally stinking person with a blow dryer. I was gagging, but at least I made short work of drying my hair. Don’t think that “honesty” would have served me well, it could get very touchy and she seems to have some issues. Very not good. 🙄 🙁

On a lighter note, purrhaps Dorry would enjoy spin class:
