Good morning! Very cute pics today! I’ve always wondered if that last photo is real because you would have to not only get them all dressed, but get them all to sit together and pose. Pretty compliant for cats.

PG, so sorry it is taking you a while to return to normal. I hope you’re back “on the coffee” soon.

AV, I love that grandma is doing Pokemon Go…that makes me smile. Keep us posted on her progress. :).

Good morning – pretty sure cats and sewing machines don’t go together, but they make for some funny pics! I remember cats chasing after thread and material.
Hope you are feeling better, PG.

Good morning all! Sure wish this horrible swampy heat would break…I feel like a prisoner in my own home. It’s just too hot to enjoy even being outside–and I don’t really let the heat bother me that much–but this is ridiculous! Had to water last night and I was soaking wet when I came in. Ewww.
PG, hope you are feeling much better and stronger today. Stay out of the heat and in the cool A/C. I have weeds everywhere, and they can wait!

    Morning kits!
KZ, I’ll send you the rain that we’re expecting if you like! 😉 In fact it seems to be a day meant for my umbrella that fits a family of four as in rain coming soon.
PG, hope that with each day you feel just a bit better. More unasked for advice, when that happy day comes I’d start with not too strong coffee, or tea, which has caffeine esp green tea. I do know of what I speak LOL.
Well come hail or high water, I’m off to do DIY spin class @ gym, with my spanking new hot pink earbuds. Peeps maintain that I should teach, but they don’t know me quite that well. Like the “take no prisoners” aspect of my purrsonality. Hehehe. Might not will a following with that one, though it works for my 2nd fave instructor as I like to push myself until I’m so high that “it” abates for a bit. L8R

KJ – I was wondering about your DIY spin class, do you use an app (which one?) or just make it up completely on your own? When I can’t make the class – which is more often than not, my gym has a few eSpin bikes, they have video screen and you but in some info and it builds a spin class and leads you through it. These bikes though are down to 3 none of which work quite right. I tend to go for the one that the only problem is no sound, they close caption the instructions and I bring my own tunes. Since I expect these bikes to die and not be replaced I was wondering if you had found a spin class app.

FYI – I did eventually buy spin shoes – took 2 tries to find some that will work for my wide foot with bunion but I found some!

Fun theme to start a new “werk week”!
    Adding my 2.5cents:
    cat w/sewing accessories
My kit Winkie used to do this years ago – I sewed more as young adult!
    cat sitting on pattern
    Purrfecting the Pattern 😉

Waves to all from finally cooling off in Brewtown! Yup it was also a horribly hot weekend. Even the rain didn’t cool it down!
Happy to have been indoors playing w/shoes for a few hours each day. Outdoor kittehs survived. Saw them visiting last nite. Kiki was waiting for me this morning too – she is getting a tad more trusting…

Wishing all a good start to new week…hope to be back later….

    Morning purr buddies,

Slowly getting up and about today. Upset stomach not as bad and had Applesauce for b-fast. Of course, I thought mmmm! coffee but that’s all I did is think about it.

I look at some of the “outfits” people make for cats and I think rly and remember if I knew how to sew, I could be there too. 😮
It took me awhile to get the tension cat.

I think of the people who don’t have A/C or even fans. It doesn’t matter if it’s dry or humid heat at these temps. it all sucks.

While at the corner store, I got dizzy and had to sit down. I was planning on swimming but I don’t have the energy today. Do you want to do a 1/2 hour spin for me, KJ? For all the energy you burn that will do it for me. 🙂

It good to hear the outdoor crew is coming around. I always worry…

Miss Gaea was being a fussy butt because I brought her in and now she is zonked out below the A/C. Cats!

    Cya and have a happy~

When I was in high school and college, I used to sew all my own clothes. That’s a skill I’d like to recover. That was before I had cats, so I never had the experience of sewing with them around.
    I love the “Picard” kitty.

Hee hee, fun shares PG – esp like ashes at fabric store LOL!
Happy you are feeling a bit better too!

Waves to Leeny – nice to see you around TDK Forum these days 🙂

How about some PM Purry fun:
    cat by keyboard
Afternoon Mandatory Pause at this place – why cats are not allowed at work place 😉

Took li’l lunchtime walk – time enough to get daily dose of vitamin “D”. Experts say you need 7 min in sunshine
to get day’s worth of said vitamin!
Just enough time to not get too warm on a still sticky/July day!

OK, back to part 2’s fun…later!

It made me LOL that grandma wanted to get hooked up with Pokémon Go! …. 14 yr. old nephew downloaded the app for her, and showed her how to catch a few, since there is a park down the street that has them …. we’ve got a strict commitment from her, no walking around outside, but she wants to go to the mall and do it …. apparently, there are many in the malls, and she already goes there to walk (exercise) in the A/C …. we’ll see how it goes …
hehe, I ‘know’ how to sew, but don’t have the patience for it …. in home ec, we had to make a dress … mine was a simple A pattern from a cotton psychedelic print, with one huge pocket on the front and a zipper in the back (met the basic requirements) ….. looked like something Twiggy or Peggy Lipton would wear …. well it was the 60s …. needless to say it required the LEAST seams and work, and I was so impatient to get it done, I broke the bobbin twice 🙂 ….. teacher told me my future did not lie in the fashion industry …. LOL

AV, something that Twiggy would wear KJ could easily rock, esp with my super short hair that actually stays purrfectly straight even in super-humid temps.
PG you sound a bit better, hope that you are well on your way to coffee-zone. R you encouraging my spin-class addiction hehehe? But hey if I can have I’m doing it a favour for friend, well why not? 😉
    Lovin’ Captain Picard pic.
JK, Dorry lies like that on my forearm, and I manage to nenetheless type on ‘puter.
TM, awesome that you found comfy spin shoes. Didn’t know the diff they made. ’til I got mine yrs ago. And cohort just got a pr last wk and is amazed!
I actually have a binder of previously done spin workouts from our old cycle area. The instructor used to write program on white board and I took pic and copied out. I don’t go to his classes ’cause I don’t like him and it’s quite obviously mutual. But I do his wkts on a spin bike that has super resistance adjustments but no readouts/console, I go by perceived rate of exertion and get fab wkt. In class I only use gear/RPM (revs per min) as don’t bother with watts or any other numbers which can’t be all that accurate anyway and IMHO takes away from the fun as I’m not a sci proj. I only do DIY about ea 2 wks as I do like being in gp and social interaction. And my goal is to feel high like kite after. Best DIY thing is my wkt = my music, some of which would not be purrmitted in a class as it’s “gangsta.” I don’t know of any apps as I don’t even have iPod, it’s my CD discman/earbuds/printed wkt. And it all works!
But here’s some sites with free spin wkts.

This one gives tunes suggestions too. Looks good.

I can’t find a laughing pea in there, Jean–you sure there is one, and that it’s visible?

    Hi Leeny,
I knit and used to do x-stitch with kit around. You just have to be very careful to keep accessories/tools/needles in clear plastic bottles or cpome up with some storage/work system like this and keep track of where they are when you are working. You really don’t want teeny needles, etc. falling on floor and the panic that comes (for me anyway) lest kitty goes after them. Or go in separate room from kit and close door (not always an option.)

    Crossover pic –
A sewing party. Who remembers sewing lessons being like this?

LOL, KJ loving the pics and captions today even more funny than usual. 😆 😆

Sorry Ginge but that’s the wrong sowing/sewing.

    And for KJ –

It’s a grey day here after an overnight deluge. My daily visitor birds have gratefully flown in for their banana and seeds and are now singing happily with full tummies. HRH has been in and out the door several times doing whatever it is she does. Yesterday I decided to bring inside the last two Monarch caterpillars on the swan plant and then lastnight Mr MS and I had to have a caterpillar hunt as they had absconded from their food branches. Eventually found them and put them back on the leaves. This morning one has ‘hung’ itself in preparation for becoming a chrysalis and the other one is sleeping.
    Hi ECB,JJ,KZ, TrufflesMom,
KJ, woohoo you rock those hot pink earbuds and enjoy spin class.
Still got those weeds KZ, I am nowallowing many of my weeds to grow and when they are luxurious I give them to the neighbour for her hens. They have stripped every square inch of their run clean of greenery. They have got to the stage they see me coming and get all excited at what I am popping over the fence.
JK, that is great that Kiki is learning to trust you more. Ohhhhh wee tummy asking to be snorgled.
PG, glad you sound better and are on the mend, slow but sure. Bland dry toast or crackers are a good way to ease back into food. Love the star Trek reference and the ashes one.
    😀 😀 Make it sew. 😆 😆
Hi Leeny, I used to sew the kids clothing until they got to the age when they outgrew or wore it out too fast. I remember making a beautiful fine woollen navy blue and white sailor’s dress with box pleats and collar with bric a brac and long sleeves with cuffs. I have no idea how the heck I managed it but I did, and my dressmaking Mother was amazed. I wonder what ever happened to that dress. 😕
AV, have fun playing Pokemon Go with grandma, apparently part of the game requires a 5km walk in order for something to happen next so grandma will definitely be getting exercise. Oh my, I had a black & white psychedelic print dress. It made my eyes spin just sewing it and keeping on track was difficult. Basic plain style for Summer, the sort you would have seen Twiggy wearing with white boots.
JK, that is one eye spinning puzzle. II haven’t found the laughing pea yet.

MS, your crossover pic takes me back – well not that far back. Yet purrusing the pic and seeing those “interesting” wall pics gives me just that much of an “Addams Family” vibe hehehe. Sew-Sew LOL.
Now purrhaps I should take advantage of Dorry’s grey coat to sort out yarns, he looks so like pic cat, ‘cept he has those bulleye markings equal on both hips. And when the yarn goes flying and he goes after it I can call vet in complete panic mode. Purrhaps not a gr8 plan after all.
I could make those knit cushions, hmmm … bet there are free patterns on INet where I find just about all my patterns. That and the library. Speaking of patterns Hazel/friend has commissioned the short-sleeved cotton sweater I posted. She just has to find “right” shade of mauve in that brand. Now for her I would do just about anything and vice-versa, she makes me some bead jewellery and I’ve commissioned a dark navy braid bracelet. No way in this world that we would charge each other. Plus she will be honest about her size, many women would outright lie and women and body types is not a direction that I will ever head into. I already told her how the sweater must fit IMHO. Not a rush job either, will prob be early Xmas gift as she’s headed to srsly warm climes for 3 wk vaca in Dec. so it will work for then.
And yes, I craved white go-go boots. With tassels. And dancing in a cage on a stage. Anything’s pawsible! 😉

I am cross eyed from looking for a laughing pea. No success yet.
KJ, I bet there are some free patterns for those knit kits on the INet somewhere. Maybe you could make them look like Dorry. I can just see you trying to get him to sit still so you can see where you should be putting a stripe in.
OMG, yes white go-go boots with tassels, that is exactly what I had in mind and I know you could rock that look.
The day has got darker and several heavy showers come across. It is noticeably colder too. HRH wandered past me several hours ago and headed upstairs to bed so that tells me the day is not going to improve. Fire all cleaned and re-set, door window scraped clean and polished til it sparkles. I think I will have to lit the fore sooner rather than later.

“Trying to get him to sit still” hehehe. MS, neat idea, would you come and sit by my side in the ER (or do they call it “Casualty” in NZ aa per in UK?) after Dorry gets upset at my attempts and tries to do me in! 😮 I know that you’d want to, but flying in from Southern Hem, hmmm … I would never ask it of you. 😉
*Wondering where I can find me pr of white go-go boots with prob gold tassels to effect super kitschy look*
Nice to see you at this late hr PG. Hope that this means that you are a good way to being back “in the pink.” *Wonders WTF is origin of that saying and will prob rsch at some point Sigh*
I’m well … stress … nothing new. But bed is screeching my name and ideally will sleep. Have a good night!
