The camera loves Noodle as much as we all do Buttons! I might get lost in his eyes …
Well Kittyzee, hairdresser did tell me that with the length and haircut I have now I could just let it dry naturally and plunk some hair paste in to keep it from going too wild. But that flat iron works wonders! Bought me one for gym locker and one for home. Someone at gym tried to sell me on some heat-protector spray for like $10. No thanks. I picked up some Fructis Flat Iron Perfector, heat protectant, will give it a try as on sale.
Now think will soon go and try to make more progress on latest sweater. 2 sections or so to knit and then putting it together and it’s done. But have been less than diligent and it’s dragging on and it’s summer weight so can be worn now.

Edie!!!! That is KJ’s style JK!!! Melded with Twiggy who also rocked serious eye makeup! Yup Edie died of apparent drug overdose at 27. And when told of her death Andy Warhol responded “Edie who?” Despite the fact that she in effect made him what he was, with her connections and all. Only redeeming factor is that Warhol liked kits. Twiggy on the other hand is alive and well and older, has a daughter who’s in her 20’s or 30’s I believe.

Yup, I remember that look…was 13, was nicknamed Twiggy after dropped weight, hair cut/peroxide dyed blonde…hmm, wonder where those pics are! (Didn’t do the real thick eye make up…still too young!) Oh, now you know I’m a Boomer/LOL!
    Twiggy then
    Then
    Twiggy now
    Now!
OK…finishing up day 1’s fun…heading to gym since it’s starting to drizzle, again! So now yard KP but social work out is in order after 10 days!
Waving with wishes for all to have a pleasant rest of your day…back on the flip…now a smooch for Tux, later!

Hey does love the camera guys :)…

    Your very kind kittyzee 🙂

Jean that mark on the iris looks like a case of iris melanosis

As your vet says not dangerous unless more spots appear or the one that’s there gets bigger or looks lumpy.. Most common in cats with yellow eyes and age 12-15 years old .. There are some rare cases of younger cats developing it so nothing to worry about ..

    And scoot looks so cute!!!

Have a good evening and workout JK!
I’m rocking the original Twiggy with cropped hair look. 60’s clothes are also back with a 21st C vibe. Once streaked hair blonde with black roots, sorta like Annie Lennox, once dyed it jet black. Now natural very dark brown. ‘Tho might play with colour if I get up the guts LOL. Boomers rock!

Good morning all, love the pics. I’m going to sample the chef kitties wares, croissants for me please.
When I was at college(high school)I took French for 2 years, it was total immersion, no English was ever spoken and we listened to tapes and repeated back what was said and then answered questions our teacher put to us. Amazingly quite a bit has been retained. Our French teacher was Belgian and so dapper, always impeccably dressed and always a cravat at his neck. We held Bastille Day celebration evening every year and I will never forget my second year as a classmate didn’t turn up, she had been killed by a jealous boyfriend. Difficult to understand at fourteen years of age in a much kinder world back then.
    Oh cherry clafoutis looks fabulous.
I have a beef Provencale casserole in the slowcooker and will buy a baguette while I am out to serve with it.

Love the sounds of the up to date retro twiggy look KJ 🙂

Hey MS!! Wish they thought launguages like that in Irish schools! They can’t even successfully teach us our own native tongue!
How horrible about your friend! That would be completely unheard of here too!

Hi Buttons, back then we had a choice of French and Latin. The Catholic girls would take Latin and the Protestant girls would take French. By the time KK attended they had added German and I think Spanish, Maori and Japanese when our girls attended, they took Japanese.
The girls wasn’t a friend but a classmate but still horrible all the same.

I’m liking that look also KJ!! I AM going to get her to jazz up my color tomorrow, it’s just so drab I think. I can’t wait to get it done. I liked my new cut at first, but it needs to be more funky and not so bulky. I told her when she texturized it that it would end up looking like cat hair–all well and good on a cat–but not on my head…especially in this humid weather.

Love the 60’s and 70’s clothes as well, pretty much like anything retro. Brings back memories <sigh>

MS your dinner sounds wonderful and like you put a lot of thought into it. I need to browse cook books and get some fresh ideas. How awful about your classmate. I took spanish in high school and can only remember a few words. Would love to be able to speak other languages.

    Hi MS,
Wish that I’d had option of studying Latin. Never too late, but … whatever. You probably speak a nicer French than most of the peeps here, with French immersion. Although in my day we were taught Parisian French, much “classier” than locals speak and peeps think that I come from France (not a bad thing IMHO). Must be hard to learn Japanese with an entirely different alphabet, yet I can easily read Hebrew and speak some, and that’s having attended private school and forgetting what I’d learned LOL.
Horrifying re murdered girl. Unfortunately still happens today. 🙁 Many years ago innocent me would think/respond to abusive situations “Well, why don’t they just leave?” Then I worked doing communications for a women’s centre. Never thought so stupidly again. Mega learning experience even though I did not work directly with clientele as no social work bkgd.

Yeah Kittyzee, took quite a bit of time to find hairdresser who “gets” my hair, plus no way am I spending huge amount or having to go each week to get it styled. I had him show me how to do it myself and I pay like $35 tip and all. He works from his basement so often I am the only one there, except for his partner, she does the colour which I have not dared to try as yet. Then there’s a doggie, but more importantly a tuxie kit! Sort of a Basement Cat but with white LOL. If you want to know all about Basement Cat just google it for way too much info. I also bring pics to show, not that I can ever get the exact look, or expect to, but gives him ideas of what I like. Plus when he’s not a stylist he’s a rocker, plays in a band, so we’re on same wavelength re not afraid to go for cutting-edge (pun intended!)

Good evening from Jersey! My hair gets shorter with each hairdresser visit. Bangs from last May are grown out and now I have a short reverse bob. I need a wash & wear look as I don’t use a hair dryer in the summer. Quit wearing makeup for the summer too, not that I wear much anyway.
I took German in high school. Also offered was Latin, French and Spanish. German seemed logical at the time since I’ve got some German blood. Lately I’ve felt a pull to learn other languages, but I can’t pick one. Till I figure it out, I just keep reading labels and instructions that have another language and pick up words here and there.

Brought Mac in the house earlier. He was a combo of restless and calm; one minute he would meow at the door, the next, resting on the futon. He stayed in throughout a t-storm and just went out a short time ago.

Once my hairdresser decided to use clippers and I think he used wrong setting as hair was beyond supershort. Told it looked good, but was not pleased, not for many weeks. Now it’s just scissors, which he has more control over.
Joan, you do realize that the futon is now Mac’s purrsonal property. As seems he likes to chill on it. Wonder if he’s mulling over as “Should I Stay Or Should I Go” (Clash earworm courtesy of KJ LOL). Wonder what cats think, I like to assume that they could speak purrfect English (or whatever) if they chose to, that’s my fantasy I guess, but how do we know for certain? Dorry responds to his name with an arrival, unless he’s doing his Houdini thing. Anyway think I’ll go to bed real early and open Café in early am as more peeps are bound to arrive and my alarm clock tells me that I’m getting up at 4:45 am. If not back as unable to fall asleep, see you all tomorrow!
