    Tks Joan,
I’ll admit finding pics to related to cats and Bastille Day proved to be a bit of a challenge LOL! Had forgotten that Statue of Liberty was gift from France to US, more familiar with Emma Lazarus poem as “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses …”. But kit pic reminded me and then again I’m not an American as not up on US history. 😉

    Hey Joan and KJ 🙂

Oh I’m ashamed to admit most Irish have no idea about Bastille Day 🙂

I only found out about it 10 years ago cause one of my brothers ex’s was French Canadian 🙂

We used to do a little French style dinner for her 🙂

Starting to get nervous about Noodles op on Thursday morning .. But I’m sure with all the TDK positive vibes he’ll recieve he’ll be fine..

No need to be ashamed Buttons! Main point is the revolutionaries (ie common peeps) stormed Bastille prison to release prisoners, then came French Revolution where heads rolled as guillotine, no more royalty until mid-eighteenth Century, ‘cept for Napoleon as Emperor.
I’d be concerned (am concerned) about Noodle too, as Joan said who wouldn’t be, but Café will be the place for all of us to wait for good news.

OK, now all know that KJ is not one for cooking/recipes. But in light of it being Bastille Day here’s a fave that involves lots of chopping and a French baguette (if desired). So, you take peppers (any pretty colour) peeled eggplant, mushrooms, onion. Chop (actually slice) everything, nice and thin. Arrange on bake sheet/foil and drizzle with olive oil, spice up with garlic powder. Broil for about 20 min-1/2 hour depending on amount of veggies. Stores for at least a week in fridge. Excellent mixture on baguette with slices of Swiss or any cheese. Also terrific improvement for store-bought plain frozen pizza. Or to jazz up plain veggies.

    Hi Kittyzee and Nirmal! *waves*
You’re just about in time as staff kitties are busily heating up crepes with choice of toppings and fillings, to be served by hostess kitties sporting those cute French maid aprons. 😉

That recipe for the baguette sounds delicious….wish I had a baguette…because I’m too lazy to make my own! I love bread (one of my main weaknesses) and vegges.

Buttons, I have been thinking of Noodle and wondering how you and he are getting along. Wondering what kind of temperament he has, etc. My Willow is a little terror and there are times I have wondered “what was I thinking?”, but the alternative was unacceptable for me. He chases his sisters around and makes them holler and growl, but then they all settle down again. He has boundless energy and thanks to you, still loves his goat’s milk. He is a mommy’s boy and tries hard to be good but sometimes he just gets the kitten twitchies and can’t help himself. Please know I am thinking of you and little Noodle and praying for the best outcome possible!

Hi KJ (and everyone else too)! I’m hungry after reading your recipe! I need to be thinking about lunch, hubby will be in and I’m so tired of fixing the same old thing! I am laughing at kitties in aprons, but would love a crepe served up by them…LOL! Glass of wine would be good too, but it’s only 10:30 am..but so what! I’m game….** waving to everyone**

Well, bldg mgmt had our outside windows washed this am. But “for a nice change” they gave us a heads up as notice. Nothing quite like opening one’s blinds in a state of “déshabillé” as French word for all or partly nekked, to find a guy on a (very) tall ladder staring at you. Not sure who would be more scared as long fall to ground LOL.

Anyway yesterday finally found me the right size flat iron. Do those teeny things ever straighten out stray sections of hair! Going out in humidity will be ultimate test.

HA! That’s funny about the guy on the ladder! I use my flat iron everyday! It’s so humid here and yesterday got caught in a downpour, my hair looked pathetic! I’m getting it cut tomorrow and need a product that fights the humidity. Good luck KJ, hope you survive the frizzies…

    Hey kittyzee,
It’s “Happy Hour” somewhere and I’ve heard it said that in France no specific time for wine drinking so just ask your hostess kitty for your preferred tipple.
Think that I have a pharmacy’s worth of anti-frizz product. As John Freida “Frizz-ease Secret Weapon”” , l”Oréal “Evercurl” leave in cream, Tresemmé “anti-frizz secret smoothing creme” and what I’m trying today Pantene “Smooth Humidity-Proof Hairspray”. LOL. I have supershort very fine naturally curly hair, that’s as mentioned supershort on sides but hairdresser and I are determined to keep growing it longer on top and so far holding out. Can wear it curly with paste to help keep frizzies at bay, but like it to fall straight, sort of a Twiggy/Edie Sedgewick look. At least I buy product when on sale! LOL. Other tip is when possible to dry hair in room with A/C and to blot it dry with old T-shirt or microfibre towel, removes some of frizz. Got towel tip on I’Net.

    Aww cute pics Jean 🙂

Oh kittyzee Noodle is a terror too!! He’s wired to the moon 🙂 and my good giddy god he’s a biter!! It’s a miracle he hasn’t done damage to the bad paw ! He chews it a lot now and I’m constantly correcting him.. He loves chasing after Nutini now and she loves running after him too.. He is a really good size for his age and really pretty heavy too so at least he is in full health and strong for the op..

    “vive la revolution ” KJ!!!

Lol at scare window cleaner lucky you didn’t open the window and knock him off the ladder 😆
