No, it’s not the tea that’s available “only in Canada – pity” LOL. For a change the pics will be in lieu of “a thousand words.” Tea is available, if you wish, or your prefurred form of liquid refreshment!

Good morning! That one little tan/grey kitten looks pretty ticked off at that rose…lol.

Now that our locks are changed, we’re having our pet sitters over today to pick up a new key and see the new place. Two big benefits to staying in our same neighborhood….same great birds at the feeders…and we got to keep our petsitters! Yay…wasn’t looking forward to trying to find new ones. We have our reservation set and paid for for our trip to the mountains in July.

Kitchen guys are coming for a couple of finishing touches today too.

    The pics today are BEAUTIFUL!!

ECB, I’m so happy for you getting your house and getting it fixed the way you always wanted. The kitchen window seat is just the best place ever for your cats. I would have a hard time trying not to knick knack it up though… 😛

I also thought it would be a great place to put food buffet style if you were having company, but since it’s the cats’ window, they would probably end up in the bowls and dishes!

Oh, I love roses! They are so beautiful and fragrant …. probably my favorite flower! …. yay for getting the kitchen finished EC, I know how much I look forward to Mr. AV’s projects getting DONE! LOL

So yesterday, Caddy decided she wanted to sleep on the lower shelf of the round wicker table that I keep on the porch between my two rockers …. I keep my grill lighter, the screen remote and some gardening shears there, covered by a black dish cloth that I wipe the chairs down …. her choice was to sleep on top of the dish cloth. So I though, how uncomfortable with that stuff under it, so I bought a long narrow basket to keep the lighter, remote & shears in, and covered them with another towel to keep moisture, and set it on top of the table ….. so where do you think she chose? of course, the narrow basket on top – she barely fits, and overflows it! Silly girl! …. but this morning, I see she’s back on the lower level on the black towel …. I think she thinks she can’t be seen since she blends in ….. shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh … don’t tell her! LOL

Oooh, kitties and roses go well together! Except when it’s Comet, who would eat them!
I love how your house is coming together, ECB. Nice perks of living in your same neighborhood too!
So glad you saw OJ & Kiki, JK!
Oh Caddy! We will never fully understand cat behavior. Shhh, not saying a word!
It’s hot here today – got my walk in early.
Baby Aslan is on fb today. I wonder how fast he will be adopted. For the first time since I worried about his poop output, I’m nervous!

Aww, Joan….I’d be nervous too. Seems normal for a little guy you love so much.

Oh, Caddy….what funny typical cat behavior. We won’t tell you that though. And I’ve often wondered if my cats camouflage themselves.

Yep, KZ. I went to that window and tested out a knick knack I needed to find the right spot for. It looked okay but I said no…need to leave space for cat butts. The one little fake plant will do. I think for the Christmas Season I’ll get a pretty fake poinsettia for that spot. One of my clients has one that looks so real it faked me out.

PM purry PS: Paws crossed as Good Luck to Baby Aslan on finding forever new home!
    Borrowed this from Joan’s FB!
    Baby Aslan

Aslan is is a small guy with a big personality. At around 12 weeks old he only weighs about 3 pounds. What he lacks in weight, he more than makes up for with spunk! His bewitching personality roars energy! He is cat friendly and would do well with another kitten about to help work some of his energy off. He almost never sits still so we got very lucky to get this photo of him!

    Hi all,

Niamh is in the hospital for a possible blood clot. She’s staying over in the ER because she has to have more tests. You can reach her on FB or her email. Her email is on TDK mailing list.

Oh no PG! Just emailed her. Let’s keep each other posted. I’ll see what news I get and make a call as whether to do email or post onsite. Will ask her what she prefers. But other TDKers can easily access her email from holiday list.

Enfin (Finally)! Very long sorta strange day.

First, JJ, your baby Ceiling Cat as Aslan is beyond handsome. Guessing that you wrote the bio? You do know that you have a gift for writing. Hope he finds his furever home lickety-split. Must be hard to part with the wee boy.

Don’t quite know why, but after I was woken up by a fraudster concerning Microsoft – right – I let him have it – decided to bake some fish (well it was defrosted so basically had to.) Then decided to change up LR curtains and area rug – meaning laundry.

Then realized that my street-find deep burgundy night table which has door and shelves for nightwear storage, also had one of those super-sticky faux tiles on top. I had put it on and did not think to remove it when I did this beyond onerous task on my bed’s head/footboard. Had planned DIY spin class relatively early, but took like 2.5 hrs of srs scraping to get the &^$@**!!! sticky stuff off, and murdered 2 scrapers in the process, plus cut my wrist slightly. Of course I then had to do a repaint job which involved mixing acrylic paint to get right shade (red/black = burgundy).

So got to gym for pm. And worked out to beyond intense as is my wont. Was just about only one there, so I could sing along with my CD (Stones). Fitness Centre Director joined in LOL.

N was supposed to come and I was concerned about getting back late as didn’t want her waiting in the stinking heat, yup it’s that kind of hoe, although I like it, but also make good use of my A/C. She had left msg that she was not well and left her other job early. Hope that it’s nothing more than a heat-induced headache.

So decided to pick up “a few things.” 2 heavy bags later and I was home. My latest yarn order had arrived and of course I had to wind it into balls straightaway. And touch up night table which is now in hallway letting the heat do it’s thing for a quick dry.

I did not stop all day. I am wiped and laughing at myself at the same time, ’cause if only these sort of non-probs were all I had to contend with. 🙄

Tomorrow is hair trim. Top/bangs have managed to eek their way past cheekbone when flat-ironed, getting there. Stylist will nonetheless have to trim a bit I guess, and sides/back get buzzed way close as per. Here’s a trick I read about for getting hair straighter in humid/hot temps. Blow dry/flat iron it in room with A/C on. Works!

Hope that I’ll sleep tonight but no guarantees. Off to open tomorrow’s Café. Have a good night all!
