Homemade cookies are the best. Once they’re baked, hurry and pop them into your mouth while they are still warm. Before the kits get at them!

    It’s Monday –

I love the blue eyed kit! Cookies are good, very good. I decided I like the raspberry jammies.

Another hot day that so annoys me. *sigh* Hot or not, I’ve got to get out and do something.

    Have a happy~

Good morning – I enjoy sugar cookies and they are easy to make. Put a marshmallow on the cookie, melt for a minute, then decorate with icing to create a melted snowman!
It’s sunny and warm in Jersey today. As hot as it’s been, this past winter still seems so recent.
A couple of cats were having a loud argument outside my window around 2 this morning. One was Huey; I know his voice. The other was probably Star or Berta. That jerk Rorschach has been around lately. He is mean and aggressive. I think he is sick or is experiencing old cat related issues. I feel bad for him but also wish he would stay out of my yard and leave the JJ crew alone.

I’ll sorry to hear Huey and the girls are having trouble with Rorschach again. I guess he belongs to someone who doesn’t care if he’s out being a bully in the neighborhood.

The cooler looks like its got a slow leak. Problem is, when I go and check it, there’s no spots. So, is the heat drying it up that fast? Do the filters to the cooler need to be replaced or does the cooler replaced?

That sucks about the gym, KJ. The least they could do is tell you. Whose money is paying for this reno.

I better get out of here because I am so aggravated. 😡

PG, I feel your pain. You need to get out amongst people…I get like that when it’s hot, I’ve been in too long, etc. Treat yourself to a pedicure, go get a coffee and a sandwich and sit in a restaurant or cafe and just watch people come and go..sometimes it’s such a delicious feeling.

JJ, sorry about the cats. I won’t tolerate mean cats in my yard. Did it in the past and they ended up causing injury to mine and then I’d take weeks treating wounds and infections. I just make it hard for a mean cat to want to stay. Unfortunately, he probably isn’t getting fed.

Going to a ‘all girls lunch’ today at my sister’s house. There will be wine! Woo hoo! Too bad we don’t live closer PG, you could come as my guest…you would fit right in!

JK, didn’t realize that your country place was so near Canada – geography not being my strong suit LOL.

    I agree US/CAD friends furrever! 🙂

Miss Kiki looks like she could be Dorry’s fur-sis

Very hot again – JJ, might be a plan to try out those dashboard cookies – that is if I had a car. 😉

Purrhaps there’s a reason that mean n’bour kit is named “Rorschach” – as in some relation to having psych probs? Can you have a talk with his hoomin? About keeping him off your property? Or is hoomin also a total jerk?

KZ sounds like a fun time with grrls!

PG, sucks re cooler! Is this something that you can have landlord deal with or at very least pay for? Agree, even gong to a library might be an idea.

I sorted out some stuff. Nearly boiled self in shower the other night. Landlord suggests that when his fix-it guy comes Wed to re-fix floor he take a look at water heater thermostat. Or N can have a look as she’ll be here tomorrow. And window repair guy coming as well.

Arranged with painter for visit when he’s less busy end July/beg August. He’ll bring a catalogue of colours, one should work.

Agent brought some very nice peeps over. They are aware that I signed lease until Dec 2019, and would be looking for investment. Might have to do re-think, as could be nice having landlord who is in Montreal and pleasant to deal with. I think that I’ve made it clear that my landlord and his de-facto can be srs d**k-heads.

Good chat with guy in charge at gym. Repairs are nec’y and worked into the budget so rates don’t rise. As per my suggestion they are looking to re-locating bikes in an auditorium, at very least they will add several bikes to the Fitness Centre where my DIY class happens. I don’t see a run on bikes as I am one of the few “keeners”. And peeps can do other classes, which is not an option for moi. As for instructors dissed as they are not paid when classes are cancelled, well it is unfair, but not my prob at all.

I might find myself invited to a “focus group” mtg where you can be sure that I will actively participate.

Tomorrow unexpected dentist visit. Chipped fang and while vampire look is kewel, it’s also annoying. Glad that he could fit me in as last time this sort of thing happened what I thought would be quick filing turned out to be a filling job, so I don’t want to wait until it gets worse. For sure not when I’m dealing with anticipatory stress preceding next wk appt.

Thanx, Jeankit. Remember, we are the closest large city to Bernie’s sweet little one. Closer than Boston, much closer than his native NYC.

And we both have maple syrup! I have to avoid sugar because of soft teeth (childhood dairy allergy back when there were few effective alternatives), but sugar cookies are very tasty, and additive-free.

Good morning all, didn’t make it back to yesterdays Cafe, I got busy.
I woke late this morning, just as Mr MS was heading out for work and he assured me he made his own lunch and he didn’t forget the tea bag in his thermos as he did on Sunday. It’s a wet day again and it’s cold as snow in falling on the Central Plateau a couple of hours drive away. The chill always makes it’s way to my area from the Central Plateau where we have three volcanoes and the only ski fields for the North Island. At the moment I am looking at the wood rack, thankfully full and contemplating lighting the fire.

PG, love the pic of the two wee kittens. They look like my Monty(grey) and Nicky(ginger) that our first cat as a couple called Whitefoots had. Happy memories looking at that pic.
Sorry you are feeling shut in and cabin feverish, guess you can’t swim with your hand the way it is and I am assuming it is too hot to take your lunch to a park even if you find a shady tree to sit under. Grrr on the cooler problems, hope it is easily solved.
JJ, bad Rorschach annoying the JJ crew. I wonder what Huey was getting so vocal at. I was woken just before 6am by neighbours kids making a noise. WTF were pre school age kids doing outside on a cold wet Winter’s morning so dang early. ! ! Of course I then fell asleep and slept in.
    😡
JK, long live allies and celebrations.
KZ, great suggestions for getting out. I love people watching, low cost and can be great fun. By now you are either at or post ‘all girls lunch with wine’, hope it was heaps of fun.
KJ, don’t boil yourself, it hurts. I know because I managed to tip scalding water down my front the other night and have a lovely red scald on my stomach. No blistering as I cooled it off quickly and for a long time thankfully. Next day I spilled boiling coffee from a thermos over my knees but sorted that quickly too. Just wondering when the third incident will happen. I hope your fix-it guy can check the thermostat is set at the right temperature. Interesting abut the nice peeps the agent brought over, food for thought if they do buy apartment for investment.
Mmmmmmmmmm maple syrup. I made a reduction of maple syrup and soy sauce to add to my roast Brussels sprouts recently and it was delicious.
Time I did some work around here to keep warm.

Can’t seem to access today’s Star Kit and add my what I like to think of as witty comment! Ahhhhh! This has happened before. Anyone else have this prob?

MS, I can’t seem to fathom your cold weather, and when we get Winter can’t fathom your intense heat.

Looks like it might pour. Can’t recall if this is predicted.

Love word play “deleat ur cookiz”.

Blind steal – those sharp claws!

Took stock. I have an assortment of crunchy salted caramel cookies, crunchy choco cookies, Belgian choco cookies, molasses biscuits, and very nice sugar-dusted ginger molasses cookies. Last ones I bought at Winners which while for most part being a clothing/deco discount chain store also has a variety of noms in check-out area (smart marketing!) Interesting – and kosher brands that one can’t find anywhere else! So I buy all these varieties and then don’t feel like having them. They won’t run away! And it’s nice to have something to offer N when she comes over.

PG, hope that your day turned out at least somewhat better than it started. I feel a good cry coming on, too much of too much. Not sure that I’d try it or that hoomin nip would work for me, but still waitin’ on Justin! There’s only so much de-stressing that overexercising can do and I’ve done it! 😉

KJ, managed to get into the Kitty of the Day just now.
As for weather, we’re opposite seasons and our Winters can be rather unpredictable, going from frost to glorious warm sunny days to wet or chilly weather all in one day and that doesn’t include foggy mornings or gales. We had a mini tornado in my area yesterday, no damage but did scatter barriers and road cones at some roadworks all over the place. It was about 2 minutes of wild horizontal rain and belting winds roaring through. Yes our Summers can be very dry and hot and at other years they can be quite wet. Crazy stuff.
No cookies in our house, only because I forgot to buy Mr MS’s work cookies last week. Oops. I don’t eat cookies or biscuits as we call them and he only has them for work.

Oh KJ, a chipped tooth on top of all the other woes. Not good!

Rorschach is a great name for a splotchy cat. Pity he’s a pest. We get an occasional visitor cat wandering through our yard. Because we have a large enclosed garden area for our own cats they can’t get out to fight them, but they tell the visitors very loudly that they are Not Welcome. Almost as loud as a cat fight without the vet bills at the end.

Just cool and damp (not wet) here in wintery Melbourne. I have experienced 47 degrees C and don’t want to ever again. I expect some hot weather in summer, but not THAT hot.
