Good morning TDKers. HRH is still being extremely loving since her return from the cattery and I am making the most of it. πŸ˜€
Love the theme KJ and the pics are great.
AV, silly Abby but totally normal for a cat. I bet NYC winter has been a shock for your daughter but I suspect Rio will be too.
ECB, good to hear you are feeling a little better.
Waving to KZ, keep warm and unmuddy.
Hi BB, coming from a snowless area in Winter I have often wondered about the snow on roofs and if you need to have them cleared and how it might be done. I am so with you on writing a long post and then ! ! poof! ! it is gone. Sometimes I rewrite a much shorter version and other times I give in gracefully. Gavin and Chad certainly know the best way to get through the Winter.
GASP! KJ, you have disturbed Dorry’s loveseat top? You’re getting stink-eye? Beware the slighted cat. πŸ‘Ώ
Be safe out there on the icy streets.
Cheri glad you had a great date night and may you have many more. πŸ˜€
Brrrrrrr Joan, it’s nice you don’t have to go off the mountain when the road must be icy and snowy. LOL at Comet and Mac playing chase & whap, Mac must be great to have around for Comet and I’m sure that takes some of the pressure off Leela.
Shadz plays the same games but with us instead of cats. She used to chase the girls around the house and then they would change direction and chase her, she loved it. She will initiate the game, especially as I walk down any stairs because she knows I am slow on stairs and she has time to get a safe distance ahead. I catch up on the flat though and ankle tap her back.
Must off for a while – laundry won’t hang itself out sadly. Not sure it will dry as it is a dull day with possible spots of rain. Great for the garden but not so great for drying washing.

PG, my trio sounds similar to yours, though I’ve not seen all-out wrestling. Some pressure is indeed off of Leela now, Comet doesn’t jump on her and grab her neck with his jaws as much. Yeah, I would yell too.
Deb, Tigger caught my eye too. πŸ™‚

Laundry hung out and the bus is cleaned & vacuumed from our trip. I even managed to eliminate the oil and grease the mechanics left on the drivers side floor mat, now to do the carpet on the engine cover where they made a mess too. I will have to have a chat with them next time. πŸ‘Ώ
Joan, I have just been looking through the link you posted for the Comet Cafe and other eateries that serve up great bacon. It reads like a road trip that HM would take. The Bomb reminds me of a loaf that Mr MS’s late mother always made for Christmas ever since he was a wee child, it was wrapped in bacon the same way. She also made a jellied tongue dish that I grew to enjoy, no waste in her kitchen, every part used.
    Hi Deb, waving madly.

Big waves to everyone πŸ™‚ I’m not sure why I haven’t stopped by today KJ πŸ™‚ it’s been one of those days I’ve been kept going with all little fiddly things and I thought I was having a lazy day but looking back huuummm not really πŸ™‚

Well how could you disturb Sir Dorry πŸ˜† I’m sure all will be forgiven soon …
Joan I can relate to the “normal” play fight… Noodle can be very rough with Nutini but as like Leela I believe she didn’t put him in his place as a kitten.. Hissing was about all she did.. And the occasional swat but not rough play when she would have had the upper hand. And he plays a lot like Mac & Comet do with Moneypenny believe it or not .. One chases the other a few swats and then Moneypenny makes chase πŸ™‚ funny to watch !

Cheri hope the dates to come go well.. πŸ™‚

Hey Deb, ECB, BB, KZ, AV & PG πŸ˜‰ all the letters πŸ˜†

Oh MS meant to ask how’s Shadz appetite lately πŸ™‚ hope the kennel visit didn’t put her off …

It’s pretty late here so if I dissapeared again I’ve probably nodded off with phone in hand πŸ™‚

Went out a few hours ago to start my car. Not easy to open the door as the whole car was covered in ice…. This is when an auto start thingy (like Joan got for Christmas) would be perfect. I ran it a long time till it melted the ice off. I also shoveled around it and the path to the door. Wasn’t deep snow/sleet and it had stopped for awhile. Then when I came in, the sleet started again….. Now I’m thawing out myself. LOL Spent more time in my room going through stuff. Too much…so boring… LOL Stopped for a computer break!!! Haven’t even eaten anything much today, but that’s nothing new. When I’m busy like that, I hate to stop to make something.

Brrr, BB. Warm up and have something to eat!

Good to see Deb and Buttons here today!

Can you believe our friend in the panhandle, Maggi, is still following up on orange cats? There is a scrawny one she’s hoping to trap tonight. When I hear “scrawny” I get my hopes up a bit because Lucy would definitely be scrawny. She was a bit underweight (due to mouth pain) when we took her from the shelter, even though food was always available.

Here is a pic of the darling little Hooded Mergansers that hang out in the small lake I pass, on the way to work.
    http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Hooded_merganser/id
Years ago I only saw one pair, then each year I saw more and more and now they come in Dec, instead of March as I first noticed. There may be 20 or more in the lake now. They are just SO cute and are also diving ducks.
ECB…. I am SO sorry about your Lucy and that her whereabouts can’t be found as of yet. πŸ™ Dear little kitty… I thought of you earlier when looking through my Birds & Blooms magazines. There are pictures of Sandhill Cranes in there! LOL No baby pix though. I’ll have to look them up on here. LOL

Buttons good to see you pop in. Shadz appetite is improving with the cooler temps we have had off and on. Chicken breast slices are the one thing that she will eat when nothing else tempts her. She doesn’t fret while at the cattery because she has been there so often and when she gets home she is super loving. The lovely lady who runs the cattery even gave her her Lysine and she is interested in it now.
Wow BB, the lengths you have to go to to get your car out and on to the road. Hope you have warmed up now. The merganzers are cute and how great to have been able to watch the population increase over the last few years.
ECB. Maggi is such a wonderful person to be still looking out for Lucy, she is still there somewhere I feel and I still see a small house near her. Positive Vibes for positive news from Maggi.
Today has been a much more bearable temperature thank goodness. I feel like I am fighting off something at the moment, sore glands and throat and tickly nose, I really don’t want a Summer cold and I think that must be what a friend had the other day and not hay fever. πŸ˜₯

Maggi is so lovely for keeping up and not giving up. Hope she traps that scrawny orange kitty. Like MS I still see the house and the lonely lady, but hey, Maggi may be close to the house.
BB, stay safe and watch out for that ice. Hubby took a spill and is still feeling it 2 days later.
MS, I sure hope you don’t wind up with a summer cold.

At one hotel in Zambia, a herd of elephants routinely ambles through the open-air lobby. What explains this unusual behavior?
