Hi JK & Joan! Well, now I can add a monster grocery shopping & a nap to my accomplishments for the day. What on Earth am I going to do tomorrow? Oh yeah, go to the gym. I’ve been really bad about that lately but need to get back to it.

Well I have napped for about an hour or so, I should see if I have an NRG to work on the garage and the tons of boxes out there. Reading how everyone is weeding thru things makes me want to do the same until I look into the garage, ack!

Kilroy, isn’t the price of groceries rediculous? I stocked up on meats the other day and dropped a hefty sum of moolah.

Good luck on the garage, Deb. Sometimes I look at the stuff and think, if it all went away, what would the real true harm be?

I have to check online for the guide that says what you can keep and the timelines. My mom’s been asking too. I know I can digitalize a lot of stuff.

Taking pictures of things you want to remember & then passing them on is a great idea, Deb.

Grocery prices are ridiculous, and we have to spend gas to do a big shopping, but that gets us to a supermarket with slightly better prices than the one down the street, so it’s worth it.

Rabbit! Rabbit!

It’s the end of the month and you know what that means… It’s time to prepare for the first of the month and all that can be yours by simple saying ”rabbit, rabbit!”

The first words out of your mouth on the first day of the month must be “rabbit, rabbit”. This is doubly important if your birthday occurs that month. “Rabbit, rabbit” will ensure good luck. And who couldn’t use a little good luck these days?

Origins and history

The exact origin of the superstition is certainly unknown, though it has appeared in print at least as early as 1420 in England, where it is most commonly said to have originated, though some reports place its origins even earlier, into the 1200s. Today it has spread to most of the English-speaking countries of the world, although like all folklore, determining its exact area of distribution is difficult. The superstition is related to the broader belief in the rabbit or hare being a “lucky” animal, as exhibited in the practice of carrying a rabbit’s foot for luck.

My first words are generally a pitiful mumble. It takes me a minute before I can be at all coherent! Hope everyone is haveing a nice afternoon/evening. I was slammed this weekend between work, rehearsals and an performance. So ready for it to be quitting time so I can head home! There is a couch and a couple of kitties calling my name!!!
