Lilly sure seems to be missing her buddy Tyger. As much as they really didn’t play together much she keeps looking for him. Every time I return home she gives me that look like “Did you bring him home yet?”.
We had to put Tyger down last week due to medical issues that continued to re-appear. At 13 years old he had a good long “kitty” life.
The hardest thing is Tyger used to begin meowing for lunch by 11 AM. Now without the begging meows to remind me, Lilly usually doesn’t get her lunch until much later. She is such a good cat though, comes to a call and never makes a mess.
We are happy to have her around, but no more additions at this time. She adopted us several years ago when she began to hang around the house. Once we were able to determine she had been de-clawed and obviously spayed, we knew she was someone’s pet that got left behind or ran away. As no one answered the lost kitty ads, she became a new family member.
I do have to say the vet hospital was great. Since Tyger didn’t tolerate car rides well, I had to bring him to a closer vet. All the staff at Glenway Animal Hospital in Cincinnati were great, compassionate and nice to deal with. They even sent us a plaster cast of Tyger’s paw as a memento to keep.
