Aww, Sylvester is a sweetie! Bobby has been sleeoing on me almost all day, so other than a trip to panera this morning and sweeping the floors, i’ve been sutting around all day pretending to be a cat bed 🙂

Sounds like you had a nice evening. I really don’t like new years and always end up doing nothing and going to bed before midnight. I’m not big on parties and drunk people. Growing up, you akways had a nice celebratory meal at hone with family or a few friends and just hung out there, so there was no craziness and no large groups. Seems much nicer than any plans i’ve had for new years eve in a long time.

i was knitting a purple beret yeterday and i had to take it completely apart today because my circular needles fell apart and i couldn’t get the stitches back on. i’ve glued the needles back together with super glue, but that ruins my interchangeable cable, but i have more, but not in that size. oh well. at least it saves me $6 on a new size 13 needle…and i can knit a new beret, which i’m doing now…

Hi everyone! How are you this afternoon? It is snowing outside AGAIN and is really cold! I wanted to take down the Christmas lights outside my house but it was so cold, I shut the door and came back inside. I really want to go to Panera for soup but I just dont want to go out. Think I just hang here with my girls instead

Oh no, on the beret, Cheri but sounds like you found a quick fix. How was breakfast out? GD, I have always spent New Years in either with family and friends or by myself. A nice celebratory dinner all together is more fun and safer than going out. Besides the restaurants all seem to raise their prices making it too costly in the long run.

Happy new year! We spent ours with some fireworks and tornados. During the worst part of the storm (at least three tornados touched down from this one) we had rain spewing thruough a window that is high above our heads. Hubby will have to climb the roof to see what the problem is.

I took the neices home today and drove straight through Byram which had a nasty tornado touch down… houses and buildings collapsed/gone. 18-wheelers flipped and jack-knifed. Not a great start for 2011 for these people for sure. We did have a funnel about 5 minutes away from our house.

MC, send us some snow! 🙂 I hope you’re staying warm!!

Cheri, how aweful about the beret…I hate having to redo stuff.

GG went to the University of Wisconsin. He’s a big Badgers fan. He’s hanging with his family today and i’m sure they’re all cheering loudly right now along with you, MC.

Watch out AV, KW might have a thing or two to say about that game! She is Oregon all the way! LOL I really love football, can’t explain it being a girl, I just do! I think I might have myself a snack of some sugar cookie dough balls. Why bake em? They are good the way they are!

It’s funny, but I’m more into sports than my boyfriend is. But lately he has become more interested in football and baseball.

Aww – thanks, AV! Our Black Knights were awesome in the Armed Forces Bowl. I am so damned proud of those cadets!!!

Well, I am happy to report that I DID roast that duck for New Year’s dinner and it was amazing! Not greasy, tender and the sauce was subtle but sooo good. Mr. WWM gave me several thumbs up! Now the question is…. what do you do with left over duck????

It has been a long few past days and so I think that, boring as I am, it’s a movie for us and then off to bed.
