St. Joseph’s Day, Poultry Day, Chocolate Caramel Day

    Poultry Day LOL
    Happy Poultry Day!
    St Joseph's Day
The Feast of St. Joseph or La Festa di San Giuseppe was credited with preventing a famine in Sicily and as a result, the day is commonly commemorated with a festival and special feast. St. Joseph’s Day, is also known as the day the swallows traditionally return to the Mission San Juan Capistrano in California
    Chocolate Carmel Day

    Tks JK!
So now I know how the “swallows return to Capistrano” adage came to be. But are the California kitties waiting for them? Just to play of course. 😉
Plus those choco caramels are a true feast for the eyes never mind for the rest of one’s purrson.

Happy Birthday today to Mr Rogers!
    Mr Rogers
“Love isn’t a state of perfect caring. It is an active noun like struggle. To love someone is to strive to accept that person exactly the way he or she is, right here and now.” – Fred Rogers, born on this day in 1928.

    Today’s fun with Odd:

    Spring, Ravioli Day, Bockbier Day

    Bockbier
    Cheers to Spring!
    Ravioli
Yum! Take one tasty food—pasta—and fill it with another tasty food—cheese, or meat, or mushrooms—and you’ve got the wondrous little yum pillows we call ravioli, wonton, or kreplach. Stuffed pasta is thought to date back to medieval times and contained cheese, nuts, and spices. “In European/Christian cultures they were often served with cheese during Lent and on other meat-abstaining days, The earliest mention of ravioli appears in the writings of Francesco di Marco, a merchant of Prato in the 14th century.

    French Bread Day
    From article:
French bread, also known as a baguette, is a crusty loaf baked in a long, thin shape. The French have been making long sticks of bread since at least the mid-eighteenth century, but the baguette didn’t become an iconic symbol of French cuisine until the twentieth century. A law passed in 1920 banned workers from beginning their shift before 4 a.m., which made it difficult for French bakers to have fresh bread ready for their customers in the morning. They turned to the fast-baking baguette for a solution, and soon it became a part of daily life.
    Yummers:
To celebrate French Bread Day, slather REAL butter on a crusty piece of French bread. Très bon!

Goof off fun with friend is t’e best!
    From article:
Embrace the Ferris Bueller approach to life! Check in with your inner adolescent, and reconnect to a wonderful, carefree, and thrilling spirit that nourishes your soul. It’s a beautiful thing to throw a little caution to the wind, goof off, act young at heart, and play hooky from life every now and then. The school-skipping, life-living character in the film put it best when he observed, “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” Make the most of Goof Off Day! (Or someday very soon.)

Ez Doh Bread Day, Chocolate Covered Raisin Day

    raisenettes
    From Article:
Fact: Nestlé Raisinets are one of the most popular candies for movie-goers.

Culinary historians believe that humans first discovered raisins when they came across grapes drying on a vine. These sundried morsels soon became one of the most popular food sweeteners, second only to honey. Raisins are an excellent source fiber, potassium, iron, calcium, and certain B vitamins. Add some dark chocolate into the mix and you’ll also get a healthy dose of antioxidants and important minerals.

And since raisins can be eaten with breakfast, chocolate covered raisins are a perfectly acceptable breakfast food!
I had heard about the egg in NZ. So glad she hatched and added to the numbers.

    Gorgeous Creature:
    Jaguar day
In honor of the majestic jaguar — today is an Ix or Jaguar day in the Mayan Tzolkin Calendar — we want to share this amazing picture of a melanistic or panther jaguar. These Tzolkin days are very special and they truly elicit deep ancestral reactions in people. There is no doubt that many of us feel connected or strongly identified with this feline.
