I recently got a kitten she was roughly 6/7 weeks when i got her and I’ve currently had her for 3 weeks. For some reason she doesn’t stop meowing? I feed her the correct amount and she gets lots of loving and she’s been to the vets for a check over when we got her but I’m not sure what’s wrong. I was thinking maybe she misses her brothers but shouldn’t she be more settled now or am I wrong? she and her brothers were found dumped by a canal and we took her off a friend who was fostering them so I know she’s had a shaky start and I’m wondering if it’s that? but health is okay so I’m not sure. Any advice please? 🙂

    Hi Laura,

Thanks for rescuing this wee girl. She probably is still lonely. All of her tiny life, she and bros relied on each other and now she’s alone. The best advice is to make her a nest in a box with soft comfy clothing (make sure one of the items smells like you), put a heating pad in one corner with the temp. low (make sure she can move off it if she gets too warm), give her snuggly soft stuffed toy and put a wind up clock toy by or in the box. The clock mimics the heartbeats of momma and sibs. Also, make sure the alarm is OFF. Give her lots of snuggles!

In a few days a she should be happy, loved kit. If she’s still struggling then I recommend calling a vet.

I think plentt of cuddling is in order too. Do you know what breed she is? Siamese are very vocal. Omri was and Yuri is too. Can’t live without the joy of it really. Twas a blessing you came to her rescue.
