Hello, this morning my 5 months old kitten fall from the balcony and broke her pelvis. 🙁 We immediately went to the vet, they did check up and said that her pelvis is broken and gave her some painkillers and vitamins injections and prescribed us some kitten vitamins with calcium enrichment.

The kitten now is calm but apparently in pains, refuse to drink water and food, only lick minimum water from my fingers.

My whole family is in sadness. My mother is crying all day, you know how it is…

We don’t have money for surgery and x-rays, and the vet said that isn’t needed, the cat is young and it will heal by itself.

Please any advice for further care about my kitten. She cant move her back legs and is a bit swelled.

I am afraid she cant use her litter…. 🙁

It sounds like another visit to the vet is called for. At least phone the vet and see what advice he can add to what he has already told you.

You need to go back to the vet urinating blood in a sign of internal damage. If it was just a broken pelvis cage rest for a few weeks would help but urinating blood is bad there is something wrong with her bladder/kidneys or urinary tract.

I hope she gets better. The best thing you can do is keep her warm in a quiet dark place and confined to a cat cage/indoor crate so she can move around and cause herself more damage.

Sorry to say this, but after 9am I will go to the vet to sleep her down. She has internal bleeding… Blood runs from every hole. Her organs are damaged.

Oh, Darky, I’m so sorry. Releasing her from her pain and her damaged body will be the most loving thing you can do for her, but I know how it feels, like your heart is being torn out.

Clara is in heaven now.

Her brothers and sisters were smashed by a car near the thrash bin. I raised her from 2 weeks of age. See my avatar. Bottle fed for 1 month every 2-4 hrs. A lots of sleepless nights, and I had the most happiest moments with my kitten.

But that damn curiosity killed my cat…

I think sleep was the best cure for her.

May she roam now in heaven with her siblings.

Im so sorry dark.but at least she had a love filled few months and she isn’t in pain now. Make sure to get some netting for that balcony if you decided in time to help another kitty.
