    Hi everyone:) I just got my 10 week old Scotish Straight kitten. He is playful and seemed to be adjusted to his new home quite well. Today while I was feeding him I noticed that his stomach was a little bloated in comparison to his body size. I have been feeding him mixture of wet(whiskas) and dry kitten food(fancy feast). Does this sound normal to you guys? He currently weighs about 1.15kg or 2.54 pounds.

    He also has been dewormed by his vet when he was six weeks old.

    Hi Jessie – I think your kitten’s weight is right on target. About a pound per month is average. Keep an eye on that tummy though, and if it keeps feeling bloated, check with your vet to see if additional deworming is needed.

    Whew thank you so much! this is my first time raising a kitten so it is a relief that he is fine. And yes, I will keep a close eye on him! Thank you:D
