Just brought home my new kitten. Hes about 5-6 weeks old maybe a bit older. He is on wet/dry food and he hasn’t pooped since I brought him home. I’m worried. He seems healthy and he doesn’t seem uncomfortable. Any info or tips would be helpful!

Try adding a few drops of olive oil to his wet food mixed in. Also eliminate the dry food until you can get some poop going. I also would add some goat’s milk to his wet food too to get some probiotics in his gut and perk his immune system. If he doesn’t go in a day or so, you will need to take him to the vet as he may need an enema to get things moving. And then the vet will probably prescribe a dewormer since he more than likely has worms…most kittens do. This will help with his bowel issues too.

Thank you so much for the tips, he did go today when i got home from work, he has only had wet food so far. His poo was solid, and he is playful!

What is his name? Remember, he should have been a bit older when adopted, but there are many reasons kittens are abandoned by their mother or by humans, or that someone is unable to keep them. If he is playful and happy, and eating and eliminating well, that is a very good start!
