Not yet, Bumblebee. They said it could take 1 to 2 weeks for results to come back, and I assume that’s without holidays intervening. It was one week yesterday. I’ll wait until Monday the 13th to start nagging them.
I would like to find out soon, though. Penny has returned to her usual routine, or as much of it as she can still perform without her sister. I find myself watching her anxiously for any symptoms of anything unusual. (“She’s only eating half the food in her bowl”–“You refill the empty half twice a day. If you’d throw out the stale stuff and put in a fresh ‘half bowl’ twice a day, she’d be eating everything.” “The water bowl is half empty”–“It’s a much smaller bowl than you were using before, and cats who eat dry food need extra water.” “She looks like she might be losing weight”–“You’re feeding her ‘healthy weight’ kibble, and the doctor wants her to lose 2 more pounds anyway.”)
You see? Until I know what happened to Tigeranne, I can’t rest with Penny, either. Besides, my brother just called to ask if there were any results, and that got me sad again. I think the worst part was finding her dead and not being able to say goodbye or hold her in my arms as she was passing. I’m telling you this, though: If Penny throws up, she’s going straight to whatever vet happens to be open at the time.
