Sunday is the start of June!
Here is a quote to start the day from:
    http://www.egreenway.com/months/monjun.htm

“On this June day the buds in my garden are almost as enchanting as the open flowers. Things in bud bring, in the heat of a June noontide, the recollection of the loveliest days of the year – those days of May when all is suggested, nothing yet fulfilled.”
    – Francis King

Tks for vid JK – so very much appreciated *she said in a cynical tone* LOL! We have Pride Parade, usually in mid-summer and some of the themed floats as well as costumes both from peeps in parade and in the crowd are extremely creative.

There are so many “interesting” events to celebrate each day (except for when there are none) that it can drive a purrson bonkers – but in a fun way. Eggxactly! Well might not be on list but my holiday – Shavuot – which is starts tonite thru Thurs. focusses on dairy stuff, esp cheese, which works for me as meat is not my friend. So for me it will be Cheese Day! Loving Pete as super-floofy Maine Coon (I think?).

    World Environment Day, Gingerbread Day

    World Environment Day:
    bubble picture
    Ooo a Bubble…

    Gingerbread Day:
    Gingerbread cake
    http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Gingerbread-Cake-104010
The gingerbread recipe has been running around since 992, when an Armenian monk brought the recipe to Europe and spent years teaching it to other monks and clergymen. Gingerbread can be served up as soft cake or a snappy cookie’ or in the form of a house or little man. Or as a really big man, as was the case of the largest gingerbread man ever made, at 1308 pounds and 20 feet tall. Got milk?

    Enjoy!

    Donald Duck

    rhubarb pie day
    http://www.rhubarbinfo.com/pie
?~ The word rhubarb comes from the Latin word “rhababarum” which means “root of the babarians.”

?~ The Romans labelled people who ate rhubarb “barbarians.”

?~ The Chinese were cultivating rhubarb as early as 2700 BC.

?~ Rhubarb is a member of the buckwheat family and botanically speaking, it’s a vegetable, not a fruit.

?~ In the United States, rhubarb production is concentrated in Washington, Oregon, and Michigan, with small commercial acreage in many northern states field and greenhouse forced production.

?~ The rhubarb plant is a herbaceous perennial and, in temperate climates, is one of the earliest vegetable crops, usually in April.
