I found two of the kittens a home, major payne and midnite (both boys as i found out a couple of days ago) will be living in a big house, with a bunch of kids who will cuddle and play with them. Callie will be staying with my girlfriend and i, but we can’t keep mama (my landlords also my inlaws won’t allow it)but i have good news i found a no kill shelter that will take Bootsy when the kittens are weaned and ready for their homes.

I tried really hard to find mama a home but they were more interested in the kittens. I made the family getting the boys answer some questions and sign a promisary note that they will be vaccinated and fixed. I just wish i could do more for bootsy, my father in law wants me to just let her go but i told him this whole problem will just happen again.

Good job finding homes for the kittens! It’s always harder to find homes for older cats, unfortunately 🙁 At least you were able to find a place for her where you don’t have to worry about her being put down. You did a great job.

Do not let Bootsy go w/o having her spayed & vaccinated. I would try a rescue associtation or no-kill agency if need. Fixed queens turn into the most luving velcro cats. My Dot was my queen for 14 years. Now newbie Scootie is my new rescued momkit soon to be spayed new little diva of the house. Good luck!

Before you give up on keeping Bootsy, maybe you should let your in-laws see how attached the mama and her baby are. Perhaps they will have a change of heart, or even adopt mama themselves.
