Do you hear what I hear? Of course you do! The TDK lounge is gearing up for a holiday weekend party that can’t be beat, though who knows what the crew has in store for New Year’s weekend!
Agency kitties are starting the weekend off with crazy holiday sweaters. Giant reindeer sweaters, big chunky candles, goggies on sleds, caroling kittehs, and someone’s wearing a sweater with the Budweiser Clydesdales on it.
Fountains are flowing with egg nog, apple cider, hot chocolate, juice, coffee and punch. Over at the kitty table, a couple of tabby cats are trying to figure out how to get the nip punch fountain working.
The buffet table is glorious! Loaded with pastries, muffins, bagels, fruit and yogurt. The aroma from the kitchen is wafting out with the smell of pie, cake and cookies. Chef kitties are manning the grills and griddles, awaiting your custom order. I’m starting off the day with an omelet, cheesy hash browns and pineapple juice.
The dining area is decked out with the finest china, silverware, crystal and fresh crisp linens. Each table has a carefully crafted centerpiece featuring various holiday symbols such as Frosty the Snowman, Santa, festive candles, colorful Christmas trees, wooden soldiers and gift wrapped presents.
Tunes are blasting, kitties are dancing, and cats young and old are eyeing up the pile of presents under the brightly lit tree. It is a special tree, lit with red lights for living pets, white lights for deceased pets, and a bright star lit for pets in shelters waiting for their forever homes.

No place I’d rather be, but in the TDK lounge with the kits waiting to take my order. I’ll have a muffin, coffee, and some bacon while I admire the sparkling tree the kits have so carefully decorated. It’s such a great place to be where there are no cares, just relaxation and enjoyment. I think I’ll move myself to the hot tub and watch it snow out the window after I’ve enjoyed my breakfast.

Thanks JJ for opening the cafe, and to the continuing efforts of everyone else who opens this place 365 days a year, thank you for making this the best place to come everyday. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday, Merry Christmas or whether you celebrate it at all, I am glad you are here and am thankful for you!

What a delightful sight! TDK kits have made the lounge a beautiful place and with smells…so good. Yes, I will have some coffee and cake please.

Twilight is here. Cats and kittens have been napping for the past few hours after an intense day of partying. They know what tonight brings, and they want to be well rested. They are wearing their holiday best; velvet dresses with bright ribbons and bows, hats, gloves, scarves, bow ties and purrfectly fitting suits. The party moves outside as the sun casts its final glow of the day. As the kits gaze skyward, points of light emerge, and a sense of pure peace and calm overtakes TDK land.
In another place, two cats sit at a place where there is a view of everything.
“It’s Christmas Eve, little brother,” whispers Shaddo. “All is calm, all is bright,” replies Jiggs. “She hung your starfish ornament at the bottom of the tree again, in case you visit and want to give it a good spin!” Shaddo chuckles. “I’ll let Comet play with it. Ready to rattle the rafters? Amaze the humans? It’s funny how the animals know as clear as this sky things that humans have such a hard time figuring out. Let’s make sure they hear!”
All of our long lost friends have gathered. The only light is the stars in the sky, but the aura that surrounds every being at the Meadow fills it with brilliant light. Renzo is telling everyone what it was like to be the senior TDK member, as Cuddles nods in understanding. Katherine and KZ’s barn cats tell of life on a farm, as Nicky describes the high life in the city. BJ thought no one really cared about him, but CWS saw him for the cool cat he was. Snuggy describes the warm, happy feeling of being loved by an old woman.
TDK pets who didn’t know each other in life are forever bonded here at the Meadow. Mystie, Lola, Tigger, Boo, Sophie, Squeaky Shoes, Kit, Stella, Feeny, Digit, Savannah, Libby, Nabby, Huddy, Messi, Gallo, Smitty, and even Vulcan the newt. Those who have been at the Meadow a bit longer are gathered as well, Cowboy, Sebastian, Haje, Callie, Chinook, Simba, Oliver Twist, Truffles, Pfeffer, Twiddle, Lydia, Grumpy Cat, Tigeranne, Solange, Shayna, Z-cat, Squeeker, Rasputin, Bailey, Buttons, Jinx, PJ, Aja, Kes, Smokey, Bones, Chipsey, Bert, Smokie, Taz, Charcoal, Maxi, Sly, Peru, Jacki, Robbie, Nora, Ranger, Smokie, and a host of others, forever in your heart.
Wrapped in the memories of times with their people, the cats begin to purr. Lifted by the spirit of this special night, the chorus of purrs grows loud, louder than even the championship butterfly chasing game. When you can steal a moment to yourself, listen for it. Over the church bells, over Santa’s sleigh, over the chaos of everyday life, you’ll hear it. You’ll hear your beloved friend purr for you. All is well.
Do you hear what I hear? A song, a song, high above the trees, with a voice as big as the sea.

Here’s an ad that I passed by in my n’hood and rschd – it’s for some liquor – but ad peeps sure know how to do their mktg.

Tagline (not in pic) is “Facile à Aimer”
Translated as:”Easy to Love”
Are they speaking of the liquor or the kittehs – hmmmm! 😉

Well I’m going back to bed for an hour or so before I officially wake up and start evening (or rather day.)

Thank you, JJ! I’m in tears now but it’s all good. The purr of the Meadow kits is calming as the night is on high.

I would buy a case of that stuff, KJ. Grumpy cat is too funny as usual. Too many reindeer? Never!

All is quiet here. Where we dream of Santa Paws who loves all the animals! 😀

Lovely stories, but of course I cried reading about Renzo. I miss him so much.

KZ, actually that ad was for a red wine, not liquor. But I see no connection whatsover with kittens. There is a Chilean wine called Gato negro, also a white called Gato blanco but the latter isn’t in the shops here any more. I think they just stuck kittens in the ad because they are adorable and the wine bottle will have that warm and fuzzy association. It seems a bit expensive for what looks like a rather ordinary wine. Marketing.

I’m not doing much of anything today, though I may well go for a walk simply because it is sunny and not very cold, if not just tidying up and making some flatbread or pizza simply because I have some dough left over that I have to use. Just something very simple with red onion and a bit of cheese. Always welcome if I visit people.

If not, drinking coffee, though I should switch to herbal tea after a couple of little pots of espresso!

A quiet day here. Mr CWS out as ever, taking Christmas to clients . . . He won’t be allowed to next year because his job is ending, so this is the last time he can wish them seasonal greetings.

Merlin sitting on the heater, where it’s warm . . .

Lashing rain and storms outside, thanks to something called Barbara! She is of course the noisy one.

Merry Christmas everyone and Happy Hanukah!! Joan that was beautiful! Christmas in the meadow must be amazing..

we had a lovely Christmas dinner at my parents and I came straight back home to be with my babies for the rest of the day 🙂

they got lots of presents from Santa 😆 the Doggies got some lovely little treats too 🙂

Mr B got me lovely cat themed leather wallet and purse and a beautiful opal and gold ring 🙂 it’s a good Christmas!

lagatta, not too cold here today, but some not fun icy patches! 😮
And I felt like I was the only person in the streets. Metro/busses on hol schedule but not too bad.

As for the ad well, for sure kittens are there for cuteness factor. Which is the same reason why I posted pics here. Kittens are used to sell bathroom tissue, Lucide Absinthe and I could go on. No idea what this bev is and will never try it, but some copywriter had a good plan. 😉 IMHO the brown kitty is the cutest. 🙂

Did my usual. Spin class was packed as most places are closed. Then again looked like reg cohorts for most part so who knows.

Now I’m binge watching “Poldark” and starting on back (or front) of latest sweater. same pattern for both and one side completed. I decide what suits as front/back after I put it together. And whatever I’m knitting up is my fave, then it get surpassed by next project. 🙂

PG, the Sandy Claws kit and the good night kits are squeeeee!!!!!!!

And the sweater from Basement Cat’s Grandma is srsly quite nice. What with those luscious cables! My first attempts at sweater construction were done for my teddy bear who now has wardrobe of 4 knit sweaters. 🙂

Congrats on Steelers winning big time!
