I’m new, and am glad to have found this site. I have a newly aquired rescued kitten, about 3 weeks old, and hope that, with your help, I’ll be able to save her. She’s pretty weak, being in a litter of 7, from a stray mother who just showed up at my sister’s house 3 weeks ago and had her babies. My sister was finally able to crawl under the house today to bring out the kittens. She called me in tears because of this sickly little one, and since I am not working at the moment, I volunteered to try and nurse her back to health. Anyway, that’s my story, and I’ve researched quite a few sites, and chose this one because everyone seems so friendly and willing to help. Hello to you all, and I’m very glad to be here!

Hi, Roxy and welcome to TDK! I’m so glad you decided to join us and thank you so much for looking after this little one. There are some very experienced kitty foster mums on this site who will help all they can — just keep checking back as we are all in different time zones — so hopefully we can help!

Hi and welcome Roxy! I wish I could help you on the new baby, but I have no experience. I hope someone can give you some good advice 🙂

Hi Roxy – welcome to TDK! I’m not much help with the babies, but folks will come along who know all there is to know.

I hand rear my cat Deuter. He was about 12 days old when his mom was run over. I used KMR (Kitten Replacement Milk) that you can get in pet stores or even Walmart. I also had a paste I got from my vet. I can’t remember the name, but a number of people here have used it. It is high in calories and helps the kitten bulk up. I now have a 16 pound beautifully tuxedoed cat! Love, food, water, and some heat! My prayers are with you!

    Welcome to TDK!

Warm welcom to TDK! Ditto Soxmom for KMR and a stop at a petstore or call to vet could be in order for some professional advice!
