Last week I brought a siamese kitten without a mother home. She is around 4 weeks according to the vet. When I first brought her she had constipation (took 4 days for her first poop since she got home) and when she did, it was A LOT. Recently she started to pee on her own like a champ. Will she able to poop too? Or do I have to stimulate her still?

Well, it’s hard to say, but if you put her in a litter box (with plain clay UNSCENTED, NON CLUMPING LITTER) and she doesn’t know what to do, I would keep stimulating her every day. After she eats especially. Once you get a poop, place it in the litter box and then when you put her in there again, she will eventually figure out what the box is for. Once she goes on her own in there, you won’t have to worry about it anymore. Just make sure she can get in and out of it easily on her own.

Also, usually after they have started eating wet food, they go more regularly and are ready to try the litter box.
