…. and I really need an polish change – can’t seem to grasp what season we’re in here……… seemed to have so mild a winter that the plants/pollen think it’s Spring, but the temps seem to have jumped to Summer 🙁

Hi all, just popping in for a sec. Had fun at the opening of the crossword tournament, and a friend I met at my first tournament was there so YAY! She comes up from Florida every year, and she always says “I just don’t want to come in last”. I don’t think she ever has.

Fewer competitors than previous years, by about 100; must be the economy 🙁

Yum, I like vanilla and chocolate cake, especially with Coffee ice cream on it. After that I’ll have homemade pizza like my mother use to make. She started with the dough early in the morning and we would all sneak pass the big bowl where it was suppose to be rising and nip off pieces to eat raw. Mother finally figured out that, in order to have enough dough to make three crusts, she had to double the recipe. It was the best pizza in the world – odd thing for a 100% Scottish girl to make, but she did a great job.

CBM, you just reminded me that Mr. K & I need to make another pizza dough; we’ve done it twice so far and the second one was better than the first, so I want to keep practicing.

Makes me think of when we were on vacation in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, on a ferry between Hatteras Island and Ocracoke Island. We were parked next to a farm boy from West Virginia who had been fishing and drinking and drinking and fishing all day. We were comparing trucks; he had a newer version of mine. It had On-Star (new at the time) and he demonstrated it. “On Star, how can we help you?” “Yeah, I have no idea where I am.” “Sir, we have tracked you ten miles off the coast of North Carolina, do you need assistance?” Then he showed us another button. “This one brings the helecopters, so I won’t push that one.” Wise choice, kid!

Hi Birthday Girl – here’s some vanilla and chocolate cake with coffee ice cream. Agency kittehs are going to do their best to make a fabulous pizza for you.

There are towns in Europe (and probably in the US too) with signs warning truck drivers that the roads are too narrow for them to pass, no matter what their GPS says.

That reminds me of a woman who tried to sue Google when she got walking directions from Google Maps that took her onto a major highway – well, duh honey! Look around and make a better choice!

Hey, night shifters! Pizza? Hmmmm. . .must be in the air! I have a pizza dip in the oven–hope it’s good because I’ve never tried it before. Cream cheese covered with sauce, onions, black olives, artichoke hearts and cheese, then baked.

Today is my 2nd anniversary! I closed on my house 2 years ago—I know this because I (luckily!) called yesterday HOPING that there was a 2 year warranty on the plumbing. Got the leaky outside faucet fixed (although they had to cut through the garage!) and didn’t have to pay a thing. My warranty expired at midnight this morning, so I’m one lucky gal–and a few hundred dollars saved.

My Dad is making his awesome Potato Pancakes tomorrow night. He hasn’t made them in probably 20 years. Can’t wait!

Good luck, Kilroy, at the tournament. Sudoku is my cup of tea!

Good job on the savings, FH; that was smart thinking. Thanks for the good luck wishes, too.

The jury is still out on the Guinness gravy, it’s a bit on the bitter side, I may have needed more brown sugar in it. The rest of the dinner was delicious.

That’s my St Patrick’s Day celebration meal done, almost. We have some green jelly(jello) to follow.

HRH Shadz doesn’t like Airy and me as we held her tight and applied her Advantage. She always races out the door, does a high speed circuit of the terrace then leaps off the edge of the wall and races to the other side of the house and then down two terraces to sit under the plum tree and mutter bad words about us. She will come in later this evening all docile and loving knowing that I feel bad and that I will give her something special to eat.
