oh EC! $100 to fix it yikes! …. our Microwave part was $150, and then we’d have to pay someone to replace it …. so we bought a new one, had it delivered and Mr. AV and I installed yesterday 🙂 …. we went with an LG this time, all my research and recommendations from the appliance people recommended that, said they had no problems and they were great machines …. just glad it’s over!

84 here today, but feels like 90 cause of the humidity! …… my City is yet again overrun with tourists/events, the IIFA (International Indian Film Awards) is being held down here (yes just across the bridge from me) and the streets/traffic/stores/restaurants are a nightmare! The ‘green carpet’ event is tonight, and from what the news reports, it’s larger than the Oscars in LA! We are staying put …. I’m sure we’ll hear the hubabloo and probably see the fireworks over the bay ……. aarrrrggghhhh!

Hi everyone – sorry I’ve not too much to add to the conversation today, it’s been a tough one. Hope to catch up later when I answer only to the kitties!
The babies’ pics are on pinterest. If you go to the main page, there are 2 that should be near the top of the page, as I uploaded them only an hour or so ago. My name is under them and my avatar is a little girl and her kitten (both missing their front teeth, hehe!). If you click on that I think it takes you to my page of boards, which I have some catching up to do.

Yep, it’s been one of those days. Maybe today is the day we will catch Pistachio, without almost losing Comet in the process (see yesterday’s cafe). Though the cat Comet came face to face with was right in front of me, my vision tunneled to Comet and getting his butt back in the house. Only then did I think to look and by then the cat was running through my back yard.

Sorry about the rough day, Joan. Hope you find Pistachio. I know what you mean. Sometimes you just need something really good to happen. I looked back at your story from yesterday. I think I mentioned before that I was doing some reading on indoor cat behavior when they are lost outside. Apparently they are often so scared they will stay under cover and not respond even if they hear their owner calling them. Hard to believe, in our case, that Lucy wouldn’t respond if she heard us, but the instinct to stay hidden is that strong. That is why a humane trap is recommended. Their plan with Lucy was to lure her with smells of home and a water bowl, since food would attract too many other animals.
