Friday 22-11-13 – "TDK" Purrjama Party Café

Goodmorning KJ, the cafe looks so wonderfully cosy with all those comfy beds, plump pillows and downy duvets. Tuxie looks so cute in her red spotted pj’s.
It’s the end of a long hot week here and I am really looking forward to slowing down for the weekend.
I must confess to never having been to a pyjama party, they weren’t fashionable when I was growing up unless staying with one friend only counts.’
I’m just going to plonk myself down in this squooshy bean bag and sip on my hot chocolate with whipped cream while I nibble on hot from the oven oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.
I may fall asleep so please forgive me if I don’t reply.

Good morning! A PJ party…yay!

Talked to the vet last night. Sam is a girl and was spayed just in the nick of time. She is at least 6 months old (so tiny for her age!) but had not had her first heat. The vet suspected she was older than she looked when we made the TNR decision, so I’m glad the teeth (inspected under sedation) confirmed that. Alley cat allies doesn’t recommend attempting taming over 4 months of age….under 2 is ideal. So, I feel better about the TNR decision. She is really terrified of being handled by humans.

Today I pick her up from the vet and take her to the wonderful humane society volunteer I’ve been working with. She is going to release her into her yard…she cares for a feral colony in her neighborhood. I imagine they are well cared for and it will certainly be better than the Sams club parking lot.

So, not the rescue to adoption ending I was hoping for, but I ended up doing my first TNR work. Glad we got her before she reproduced. (Though she is so small I wonder if she would have survived that.)

…… I need to change out of my Hello Kitty pjs and get moving…. busy day today, I’ll be working right up until close of business next Tues. before I can take a break and enjoy the holidays……

Oooh a pj party! Leela and Comet have their onsies on and are coming thru the wormhole. Both have “Hello Kitty” pj’s; Leela’s has a white background and Comet’s has a black background. Leela has her backpack full of grooming supplies and claw polish. Comet is bringing some joke books.

Leela broke into her old apartment, aka, my closet, last night. I heard her but allowed her to go in; she won’t be moving in there again. Comet went to see her. How do I know this? Leela’s growling! So Comet sang to her. Not his usual singing, but more subdued, and mournful, like a love song. Might have helped, for her growling got quieter.
