Must be “that time” somewhere so we can enjoy sweet tasting fruit, soaked and marinated in brandy. Alcoholic or not. Let’s drink to that!

It’s Happy Hour Somewhere…celebrate with Brandied Fruit Cocktail!

Fruit Brandy Cocktail
20mins · 4 Servings

Ingredients (7)
2 tablespoons sugar
0.667 cup dry white wine
1 cup cloudy Apple juice
0.5 Cinnamon stick
add unwaxed Orange zest
0.375 cup Calvados
add Apple slice (to garnish)

JK, that bevvie looks interesting and chock full of vitamins! 😉 Well, the sun is over the yardarm!

Just filed my first project on new ‘puter, and happily it went through perfectly. I keep discovering it’s various tech-abilities, which is way fun! Plus gives me more opps to organize! 🙂

Bright sunny day, if a tad chilly IMHO. But for time of year … should be getting really cold by now, so no real complaints. Sorta leather jacket season!

After coffee will head on out to Knitting Circle, which I haven’t gone to for past 2 Fridays during hols. Relatively late last nite managed to finish knitting back of dress so it should work as templated for front and make things less complicated.

If I don’t stop by later I’ll wish all a happy Caturday!

Happy TGIF everyone! ….. the mobile vet came this morning …. all girls got peticures (Caddy was the hardest to catch, but we did!) ….. and Ve got a pred shot …. she’ll do much better now, doc said we were good to address it before it really got bad …. Son just left for best man duties, the rest of us will head to the church later on …. hope everyone has a great day, see ya’ll on the weekend lounge 🙂

Hi all – my dad loved his blackberry brandy, he would have a small glass every evening. Between that and the scotch sours, us kids didn’t see the allure of raiding the liquor cabinet!

JK, those tarts looks delish! Fortunately for me, agency kits have whipped up a batch along with fruit brandy. What a nice way to celebrate Friday evening! I think Brutie looks sweet in his lion costume. It takes a very confident goggie to dress up as a cat! I love how cats see themselves in the mirror.

Glad the new ‘puter is treating you well, KJ. It’s sunny and a bit chilly here too.

Didn’t work particularly long hours these past few days, but there’s lots of action and apparently it makes me tired – I napped both yesterday and today when I got home!

Heads up, the Orionid meteor shower is here! The weather looks clear, so hopefully it will be a good show.

Oh and guess what? Baby Tyler is one year old today! Where did the time go?

Those things are too sweet for me now. I’ll be braising a duck tomorrow to make dishes for friends who do eat poultry but not pork or other mammalian meat…

JJ, my parents had a small sherry every Saturday evening with the roast meal and that was it and sherry never attracted us children. None of us kids drink much even now with me having about two drinks a year.
Lagatta the braised duck sounds great.
