Afternoon all! ….. my girls both wear leather collars, and they look as good as they did when we first bought them! ….. they are at least 6-7 years old! I like them because they are not tight, but also have that ‘breakaway’ band if need be. Neither girl has every tried to take them off, and I like them because the little jingley bell lets me know when one of them is trying to stealth round …. LOL

…. I don’t know what got into me this morning, but I almost overslept my yoga class ….. I literally woke up, ran to the car and got to class right as the teacher was closing the door ….. I thought for sure I’d pull something not being warmed up or anything, but I did just find, and by the end of class I was real glad I raced to make it…… I’ve committed to 2-3 classes a week, and so far, I’ve been very good! Sure gives me a lot of energy and helps me not have aches/pains…..

The cats don’t know the words in between, but they are loving joining in on the howling part!

AV, I’m jealous. Yoga is the BEST for keeping aches away and I really need it right now. I’m doing it once a week because my mom hosts a class at her house, but I can’t do my DVDs on other days because both her DVD players are broken and I haven’t had time to figure out if they can be fixed.

Yeah, Leo is an escape artist and no store bought breakaway collar would do for him. We tried four before we discovered beastie bands. Emily was also a toughie, but Eko has never tried to get out of his, which is nice because I chose an African one for him that I love.

EC, I practiced yoga for years, but stopped in 2005 when I almost died from an allergic reaction to an antibotic…. it put me in the hospital (for a month), I lost 20 lbs (and I’m skinny to start with) …. it was awful! any way, long story short, I had to re-gain my health, my strength, and it took me almost 6 years to gain the weight back, so I wasn’t working out during that time…. Thankfully, I’m fine now, and just wanted to get my flexibility back …… which I guess there’s something to be said for years of muscle-memory, cause it really came back much easier than I thought it would…. now I try and stay committed to a couple of times a week – I do better attending a class ( I need the discipline ), but I also have a routine of poses that I pace myself through at home sometimes.

    warren was great!

about yoga – i will say myself that i have a love hate relationship to it. in general, it’s great exerciser, and i had tried it on occasion. one thing though is that because some people cannot separate the spiritual aspects from just good exercise, many cults have arisen spawning from the religious (true and falsely conceived alike) and spiritual aspects of it, so i am very careful when it comes to that stuff. the worst is kundalini yoga, as that is 85% percent fake crap used to brainwash people. most other forms are fine, as long as you keep yourself in check with it. if you are spiritual, thats fine, but don’t let it take over reality. if you just do it for exerciser and are not spiritual at all, even better, just avoid things that may have connotation to negative groups. a lot of famous yoga gurus (and this pointed at my own indian men here) are being outed nowadays for the perverts they are, and there are other non indian whackjobs who are trying to pretend they are religious leaders complicating stuff.

on the few occasions i do try yoga, i follow this guy’s videos –

    https://www.google.com/#q=swami+ramdev&tbm=vid

i dont have a spiritual connection with him, and i dont care what religion he is. he’s a good teacher, and he’s highly respected for his discipline – physical moral and otherwise in india. oh, and it does help that he is cute. ;p

there’s actually a story behind his face hair. he has bell’s palsy, so if u watch his video and notice one side of his face looks a little funny at times, that’s why. the face hair is an attempt to cover it a bit and make it less obvious.

You are part Daisy. You are strong and resilient. Able to maintain your vitality through whatever the day may bring. Come rain or shine you remain a loyal friend to those who are close to you, and your sunny disposition attracts the admiration of all.

You are part Snapdragon. You are fiercely competitive in every endeavor you seek. A will of iron, you don’t take crap from anyone! You carry yourself with an air of dignity and have strong ethical and moral values. Beautiful on the outside with a fiery core. You are not to be trifled with.

You are a Oleander. You like to keep your friends close and in small number. You have no time for petty or close minded people and have adopted a “look but don’t touch” attitude. You keep your secrets close to the vest and prefer not to engage in frivolous conversations. You never run from a fight and you make your own rules.

    yep thats me heheheh

Hi Littermates, is there a Sweet Adeline group for the girl kitties or are we all joining together.
HRH Shadz has been warming up her voice this morning by singing out to her Daddy as he was filleting fish. All that singing got the result she was hoping for and soon there was just the sound of fish being munched. She is a happy cat now, last seen bathing her face and licking her lips as she wandered off to sleep off her fishy snack.
I am a Sunflower. You are spirited and vivacious. Willing to do anything to help others be happy, and ask nothing in return. You always see the bright side of any situation and are the life of the party. It is impossible to feel down when you are around. 🙂

My Jes isn’t very talkative but he does have “Mommm!!” down to a T when he wants something! He also talks to the birds…
I’m a Sunflower, but some of those questions my true answer would’ve been “none of the above”, so not sure how accurate the result was. I’ve always been partial to dandelions, even though I know some consider them a weed (one person’s weed is another’s flower…) But they are one of the first flowers we get in the Spring, and I love their determined and resilient style!

Comet is still singing, can you believe it? I’m hoping he will go with a lullaby next, I’m tired – long day. See you on the flip side, friends!

I’m back, had to go out to deliver some fish to a friend. His eyes lit up at the sight of large kingfish steaks. Mmmmmm.
Guess what we’re having for dinner – yes, fish!
Joan, sweet dreams and I hope Comet does sing you and Leela a lullaby.
PC, I agree with on the answers to some of those questions.
