This Special Day honours the brave members of an important branch of the military that protects waters and shorelines.

    Oh, Grumpy Cat! *Sigh*

    Had to include this doggie!
The Newfoundland (Newfie) is a gentle breed that works in water rescue. They have webbed toes!

Yea it’s Friday!! ๐Ÿ˜† I love the Gulf of Linoleum.

    Rescuing idiots since forever

It was a lovely cool day and we had a rain, thunder and lightening last night. We’re suppose to have cool weather through next weekend. Of course, my kits are freezing ๐Ÿ™„

I’m volunteering for the Cat Transport on Sunday. Bob is going from Boise, ID to Chicago, Il. I’m taking him from Denver to North Platte, NE. It’s been awhile since we’ve had a kit going cross country.

Even though the Cowboys won tonight – (American) Football is back baby!

    cya and have a happy~

    Oh Carla! *sigh*
Safe travels on Sunday with Bob, PG. I’d like to do something like that, but I don’t like driving enough, especially in the most densely populated state in the union. You rock!

Got a glimpse of football last night. Pre-season seems to start earlier each year; I’m not quite ready till at least mid-August.

Dewey is sticking close to me. I wonder if he misses his godson. He might go back out when I leave for work. I kinda hope not, as storms are in the forecast and Dewey hates t-storms!

Rescuing idiots since forever — so true!! Brave men and women who do this job!

And it’s true, I think coffee tastes better on Fridays…our local county fair starts today, so we have been getting a dairy steer ready and he went in last night for oldest granddaughter. I’m making a guess and saying he weighs 1100 lbs., it would be great if she won rate of gain and of course the steer show, but who knows. He is a good looking animal and holsteins get so big before they are fed out–he is a gentle giant. ๐Ÿ˜€

JJ, I’m sure your house feels empty with Aslan and his antics, I know how rambunctious Peso is and how silly he can be. Hope your heart heals quickly, and Comet’s sneezies go away. Yesterday, my own nose was giving me fits. Made Mr. KZ change the filter in the A/C, took an allergy pill AND allergy nose spray. I feel better today, but jeez.

PG, the Cat Transport that you volunteer with is pawesome!

JJ, I hope that your other kits stay close provide xtra comfort. OK, that’s asking a lot. Purrhaps Dewey will oblige!

Idiots ah yes! Such a plethora of them in the world. Speaking of which, almost tempted to give Knitting Circle a miss today. Last Fri some fool spilled some of her iced coffee – on my white skirt! Well I left way early before stain could set, took me like an hour to pre-treat, including going at skirt with toothbrush. Came out fine, but the decent thing to so would have been to offer to pay for dry cleaning. Imagine had she spilled coffee on someone’s 100% wool yarn!

I’m careful not to eat even fruit where peeps are working. I never even let anyone eat near my ‘puter, but that’s me. *Sigh*

Anyway, I sooo relate to Carla! ๐Ÿ˜‰ That cobbled together boat and KJ would not get along – a yacht – that would be more my style! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Happy TGIF all! …. I love the coast guard – they are great guys …. you can only imagine how many ‘idiots’ they rescue around where I live!

PG you are an angel for doing cat transport duty!

Well, it’s official – Dau’s cat Dude is getting a sibling … the stray that she’s been feeding (she’s been call her Tammy) – they put up posters in their apartment for 2 weeks and no one claimed her, so Dau took her to the Vet today – turns our it’s a he (she re-named him Walter), is already neutered but not chipped, and no one looking for him. Dau says he’s a sweet lovable boy, and she’s been wanting to get Dude a playmate since they both work. She’s spending the weekend introducing them and seeing how they interact …. He’s a grey strip about 5 years old the vet said.

Good afternoon from Saturday. Another cold morning followed by a sunny day – however the light wind we have is very nippy.
Can we have as much TDK White Light for KK’s Dara please. I believe this weekend last chance meds are being tried and difficult decisions may well have to be made. No definitive diagnosis for her but things are not looking good. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ
PG, you are an angel behind the steering wheel for helping Bob along on his journey to a new home. Safe trip for you both.
Dewey I hope you did stay inside today.
KZ, best of luck for you grand daughter and her steer.
AV, how wonderful of daughter to rescue and give Walter a home. hope he and Dude become firm friends and gallop from one end of the apartment to the other noisily. ๐Ÿ˜†
HRH is in disgrace, she caught a wee bird yesterday and left it and a pile of loose feathers in the house. I am not sure what she was trying to tell me. Only that morning I had reminded her to leave Mama’s birds alone. She didn’t eat it and also refused to eat her meat. Last night her Daddy brought home 3 bunnies and her tummy had a happy. ๐Ÿ˜€
