HAPPY EASTER AND RABBIT, RABBIT, RABBIT!

Everyone needs a little fun and this is the day. The stress of this lifestyle has a growing negative effect on our overall health. Gotcha’s are good way to release tension and, maybe, get some payback.

The temps are dropping tonight. I can really feel it after our 65f/18c today. I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter, with or without, family.

    Have a happy~

LOL at ‘the trouble with practical jokes’ and ‘I love you Mom’.
Keep warm tonight PG. Looks like we are getting to similar temps at the moment although today we have been in the 20’s.

Daylight Saving ended overnight and now I have just had to turn the porch light on at just after 6pm. I don’t want Winter, dark nights and cold mornings. 😥

    Haha, Gotcha!
    Happy April Fools Day!
    Happy Easter!
Happy Blue Moon! (Actually that was last night.)
Today is also the anniversary of my grandmother’s b-day. Let’s see, I think she would be 115. She loved a good April Fools joke too!
We’re going out later and it’s not super cold, so the wood burner is getting a break. Leela is downstairs arguing her case to hubby. She even put a toy there to make her point. She wants her box of summer!
I spilled chocolate milk mostly on me so the outdoor gang has to wait a little longer for breakfast.
Sorry you’re plunging into those short, dark days, MS. I hope daily TDK interaction helps you get through it like you did for us in the No. Hem.

Awww MS, I’m sorry you has a sad about the time. It definitely sucks for it to be dark so early. I wouldn’t care about changing the time…a farmers work has to get done in the dark or the light–so the time on the clock really makes no difference. But I love the light when going out in the evening and getting home and still having bright light. I think I have SAD–Seasonal Affective Disorder–it really does seem to have a positive affect to my disposition. 😛

JJ, hopefully you didn’t have something white on when you spilled your chocolate milk! All my outside cats have weathered the winter fairly well. Maxwell did take a hit though, even through all my ministrations of boxes filled with straw and warm bedding in a garage, food, unfrozen water, etc. he has managed to have frozen ear tips when the weather went below zero for so long. 😥 Now the tips have fallen off and he has stubby little ears, the poor guy. They are healing which is good…before it gets warm and flies are everywhere.

    Oh, I’m sorry about Maxwell…

I definitely have SAD; or at least am very much affected by the light and by bitter cold. Good thing that Livia is such a cuddlebug, and also not a large, heavy – not necessarily fat – cat, as they can be a pain in various body parts if they are cuddlebugs.

I’m buying these https://tinyurl.com/lucky-Mary-Janes They are fabric Mary-Jane shoes, and the insole seems very supportive, we’ll see. I bought them at a local shop, cheaper than Hudson Bay’s sale price.

This reminds me of the days when these (boreal) spring holidays were the grand occasion to buy new clothes!

I have friends in Chile and Argentina, but where they live, they aren’t terribly affected by autumn yet. The much shorter days are down in Patagonia, in the far south, and significant cold is as well, as well as in the high Andes. My friends live in Santiago, and in the city or the province of Buenos Aires.

I love that Leela takes her toy to the wood stove. 😀

Poor Maxwell 🙁 I wish you could catch him and put meds. on his ears so he doesn’t get an infection. No doubt, he won’t let you and I’m sure you’ve tried many times.

One of the great things about living in Colorado is we get enough sunshine during the winter to stave off SAD. I’ve heard that these lights work well and nowadays, you can get a less expensive, quality light.

Actually, Maxwell will let me do anything to him. I will put meds on, but right now, they are drying up nicely without them. I don’t want to make them soft by putting on an ointment. I do have some Vetricin spray, but spraying a cat up by the face isn’t recommended. 😛 I could put some on a cloth and dab it on, but right now they are healing with nothing. He has a bad habit of sleeping with his head sticking out of the entrance of his shelter, hence the frozen ear tips. 😥

    Evening all,

    Catching up!

Poor Maxwell! I hope that his frostbitten ears heal quickly.

Went for a srs walk today and it was srsly chlly esp with the wind! Even snow (of the light variety) predicted and I don’t think that they’re foolin’. 😮

PG I found another online course site. On a course description for a course that focusses on how to find online course sites. I don’t quite get it either.

Site is Edx and for me there are some neat courses. Love Coursera too, I’m working my way through my 4th course. This other site also features self-paced courses so there’s no specific start date. Also free. Good to have options.

I see that TDK has changed a bit as in posters are no longer ID’d. So long as site is up works for me.

Think I’ll open tomorrow’s Café and get to bed early as per usual decision that I rarely keep. Into Passover now and gluten-free is not an ideal situation for me, but for the wk I’ll manage. Good that my fave yogurt is kosher for Passover and all year-round.
