With so many types of pens, from the everyday biro to the decadent fountain and the multipurpose Sharpie, the humble pencil is often overlooked. That’s why we’re celebrating the pencil and how amazing a stick of graphite encased in a tube of wood can be. If your imagination leans towards colors – red, orange, yellow, green, indigo, violet – then pick up some Crayola crayons. Over 400 different shades of colors have been produced since 1903! Sketching or coloring is expressive, therapeutic and fun activity. Go for it and hopefully, you’ll feel relaxed when you’re done.

    It’s the weekend! Have a happy~

Memories of learning to write : pencil-nib pen with inkwell-fountain pen and finally biro. I use a purple coloured pen for all my crosswords and puzzles.
    LOL at the parrot pic.

Awww, I love the new color–cat nose pink! I know exactly what hue that pink would be!!

Well, we are celebrating our Easter with a dinner today at Avery’s house. I made frozen dacquiri’s to take and Mr. KZ and I were in the basement standing by the freezer last night with spoons and a glass 😆 hey we had to find out if they were suitable for guests, right?! Made with frozen strawberries and pineapple…it’s just like a smoothie with rum!! ARRRGH!

MS, I hope you caught your mouse! I also have memories of learning to write, and I loved using a cartridge pen which had a nib and you could get ink in lots of different cool colors. I love pencils and the smell of crayons and art and writing supplies. My brain goes into overload when I am in an art supply or office supply store. 😛

Good morning from Easter Sunday/April Fool’s Day.
We woke early and went out to watch a boxing match on TV that was happening in Wales UK. A Kiwi/Samoan Joseph Parker was fighting Anthony Joshua for the World Heavyweight Unification title. Now we are definitely NOT a boxing fans but joined friends to support the Kiwi. As far as boxing goes it was a tidy fight in all senses and an example of two well matched contestants showing some great sportsmanship. Our guy lost but also shows great promise for the future.
We have a gorgeous sunny day here.
KZ, the ‘little bugger’ avoided all traps and devoured a banana. Tonight we will be ready for it, we know for sure where it is getting in, through the louvre windows and will put the trap outside on the sill but tied to something inside. Sneaky pest is using a grapevine and TV cable as a highway to get up 2 stories to the window.
Oh my, frozen strawberry and pineapple daiquiris definitely need sampling before being served and the more sampling the better. What a great image you paint of you and Mr KZ sampling. I bet there was giggling.
I remember all sorts of fountain pens, some had cartridges and others had a lever you operated to suck up the ink. I used to love the pastels when it came to art but they were expensive and had to be used sparingly.
Mmmmmmmmm just had a delicious hot hot cross brioche bun with real butter. A little indulgence.
