Pretty good. I bet someone is missing grandma though:( I always was so said to leave grandma!! I put in a fire–can’t clean without the warmth from a little fire! We got cold here–but it is unusual weather. It has been as high as 70 this week and dropped to 18–vvery odd. Worst part for the farmers especially we only had 1 snow this year–about 1/2 inch. It is pretty dry and the wheat crops may not make it without a little rain. I think TDK should hold a rain dance!

steal the rain from Florida, we have none here to send but the midwest has lots that they could share don’t you think. Hope that it doesn’t stay cold for the farmers crops. Becca probably does miss me, luckily she has another Nana who spoils her pretty much.

Sigh, Hazel didn’t show up here either 🙁

I did do the dishes, a load of laundry & took it upon myself to reorganize my closet, though – it was getting way out of hand. “What will I wear to work over the next six weeks? Make that accessable!” I’m tempted to pass along a bunch of outfits that I don’t wear because they have to be ironed.

Rewarding myself with a Malibu & pineapple/orange juice, yum!

Good morning/afternoon littermates. It has rained all night here but at least we still have dry feet. Some areas have minor flooding in the North Island. I’m just glad I’m not camping at the moment, memories of old being washed out of tents. Off to do things around the house, the things you put off until a rainy day. See you later.

Sounds wonderful Joan! MS we are so dry here! We would love some rain or snow–none predicted in the future.

I would be happy to box up some snow and send it to you SM! I am so sick of it and have a pile about as high as the house from plowing the drive. Come to think of it, I could mail some to WWM too, she was saying how dry Texas is as well. Think me and the girls may cuddle and watch a movie. Did laundry, dishes, litterboxes, kitty bowls, swept up, and now eating supper.

MC I was born and raised in the north, I have lived with snow most of my life. Sometimes the weather is what we make of it. We can choose to hate it or we can choose to find the beauty in it.

Yeah, I agree SM. And this year it seems especially miserable. I just can’t shake the gray yuckiness of it. Seems super cold too. I am so ready for spring and flowers and being active outside.

Does the heat not work very well at your place, MC? I know that my mom cranks the heat up to 80 in the winter…haha!

I used to love running in the winter when I lived in Michigan…as long as there was no ice out there.

Good idea Dee! I know as I grew up on the other end of Michigan that the snow was amazing!! Dee we used to ice the hill for sledding!! How many times did we fly down that hill to crash into a tree–never ceased to be wonderfully fun! Ah to be young again…..

SM, I still have a tiny stone lodged in my right knee from a sledding accident when I was 11! All that happened was that I gashed my knee open on a rock underneath the snow. It causes no problems. I did not know I had a stone lodged in there until I had an MRI on my knee last year…haha!

I would still love to go sledding! I used to love cross country skiing, too.

I started cross country skiing at age 8–LOVED it! I think as a kid I would never hae come in if not forced! Have to say raising Mini SM in Germany there were a lot of similarities to MI–and we LOVED to be outside in the snow. Mr. SM broke his collarbone twice one year sledding with her! He broke it at the beginning and I got to sled with her for 2 months. Then the doctor cleared him and it snowed–off we all went–and then off we went to the doctor the next day–he did it again! He was a little leery of sledding after that! I laughed–a lot!

Even tho, I’m a native Floridian, we’ve always taken our kids skiing out west since they could walk!….. both my kids are great skiiers – let me stand corrected, Son is a skiier, Dau is a snow boarder……. Hubbs was always a good skiier, I was ok, but can’t ski anymore cause of my bad feet!…… I loved the snow to ‘visit’ but wouldn’t want to live there!
