The soft click of the camera, a flash of light and a moment in time captured forever. Nicéphore Niépce, using silver chloride coating a piece of paper, originally made the photograph. However, the photo would eventually turn fully dark, as he knew no way to remove the silver chloride from the paper to preserve the photo. Who better to photograph then kits!!!

The beginning of the weekend is upon us-Yea! I planted a couple of shrubs and now hopefully, they will take root. My Lilacs looked dead a few weeks ago but they are showing signs of life. Yea!

    Cya and have a happy~

Good Caturday to all! I awoke to a dreary morning with overnight rain (I think) because things look wet out there, but the sun is starting to shine through the overcast clouds. Mr. KZ woke me up to tell me he was leaving, and the entourage of cats followed him upstairs to say good morning. They had already been fed, so the started picking prime bed spots for snuggling which started them fussing with each other over the favorite one under my chin…okay, I’m awake now!! 😆 Such unruly children!!

I feel like I’ve been MIA from TDK, even though I have been lurking. It takes me so long to move from one post to another and then if I post, it sometimes takes 3 to 4 minutes…I just don’t have time to do anything but read. So I have been here and gone and left no pawprint! 😀

Just a lazy day for me with some light cleaning and puttering. More coffee for me and hope to be back later!

Happy Caturday! Most pics on my phone are of cats, but I guess that’s no surprise to most of us here.

MS, glad Airy is happy with her new wheels! We had pork last night too, pan fried with apple sauce, corn on the cob and Alfredo pasta. Yay, HRH is feeling good!

Hope your new shrubs take well, PG, and glad the lilacs are perking up.

It’s all happy snuggle time till they fuss over the prime bed spot!

It’s a sunny day here in Jersey after a rainy Friday. Today is hubby and my Anniversary. We’ll head up to the lake this evening for dinner. Might be busy, as it’s a purrfect summer Caturday to spend playing on the lake. Maybe the usual summer visitors will be heading south for the eclipse instead!

Good morning all, it is a cold wet dreary day here but HRH still want to be outside. I will stay inside under a blanket.
KZ I had to chuckle at your morning wake up crew. Looks like we have similar weather. Sometimes time constraints just don’t allow us to post but we do make it back here so don’t feel bad KZ. Life happens.
JJ,Happy Anniversary. Enjoy your anniversary dinner up the lake.
Our pulled pork in apple sage gravy was delicious and there are leftovers too. Mmmmmmm
Waving to AV, sun, warmth? What are those? 😯 😆

Oooh PG! The pic of the gorgeous lioness investigating tripod and wee cub have this inquiring mind wondering whether the photographer “hab to leave” of his own volition. And whether he is still among the living after purrhaps getting too up close and purrsonal with the big kit!!! 😮

Dorry is using the bed that I made him quite often. He must be trying to stay on my good side. 😉

Slept away the day as is my wont/want. Knitting Circle yest was much better than previous wk – never know who will turn up although there is a reg contingent. Women with her precocious dau as well as other moms with babies were no shows, which I prefur. So I got a lot done. Plus some new peeps including tourist from Western Canada, making conversation engaging.

At gym pool closed for maintenance for next couple of wks. Meaning no kids there for swimming/screaming and no older peeps there for swimming/complaining. Last wk woman went on endlessly about how she hates new locker room decor. Instead of impolitely saying “There are other gyms” I politely said “You’re talking to the wrong purrson as I love the decor.”

Next wk as in Tues. is the stressor so I think I’ll try to get to bed earlier for upcoming few nights which will or will not do much. Tues am getting up at like 5 am as appt at 8-ish and play to spin before. It’s a choice.

We had an anniversary too – on the 17th! But we don’t do anything about it now – he doesn’t remember dates anyway. Maybe next year, when we hit a biggie.

Cats and cameras aren’t always great pals, in my experience – a lot of ’em run a mile as soon as they see one coming! Rincewind was different though – he used to pose for the camera. He’d even wait for one click, then turn his head or move a paw for the next one. Trouble was, he used to sit right beside me so that I could catch his good side – only he was a shade too close to be in focus!

Ah, he was special, that one. But then – they all are, aren’t they?

Every now and again, you get the purrfect model. Miss Moppet is my model. Do tell what BIG anniversary is coming up CWS?

It doesn’t matter to some people, KJ. No matter what they have its just wrong! I’ll complain with the best of them but I like to think there’s a valid reason…I could be wrong though. 😳 When I see children digging through garbage dumps for food, I think what would happen if you put one of the “everything sucks” complainer in there? 😉

Oh dear – that would be giving my age away, wouldn’t it? But then, having grandkittens in their twenties is a bit of a giveaway, too . . .

So, as long as you promise not to tell anyone else, PG – I’ll whisper in your ear that next year will be our fiftieth . . .

SSSSHHHHH!!!!! Not a word, remember, not to a soul!

    😆

PG, how true. And what an image! At times I want to give a list to these IMO needless whiners of 10 things that are 110% worse that what they are whining about. I am proud of the fact that I do not engage. Well purrhaps not as much as previously – still being a work in purr-ogress. LOL

Not to a soul CWS? I must have missed that part! 😉

    I promise I won’t tell a soul…well, maybe my kits. 😉

CWS didn’t tell us her anniversary was on until it was past so I hope she and Mr. CWS had a great time.

Well, he’s been working on repainting the hall, and replacing the floor . . . and that’s almost finished now! I won’t say that’s great fun, but he’s made a good job of it. Instead of a rather tired 60-year-old floor we now have a nice new, shiny one, which even makes the house warmer.

That has to be a plus point!

    😀
