Hug Your Cat Day is one of those pleasingly straightforward holidays. No matter what’s going on around you, no matter how bad or troubling things get, you can always count on your furry friend to be there for you. *COA*COA* because what’s cuter then a kittens and hugs!

Thanks for the adorable pics, PG. No fair though….I don’t have cats to hug today! Tomorrow….

Had toasted pound cake for breakfast…delicious. Hubby’s folks live on a lake and we saw an alligator while we ate brekkie. Lots of great bird watching and squirrel antics as usual too.

I thought everyday was hug your cat day!?! Oh my, the pics are adorable!
MMMM, pound cake! I have to make one this weekend–tomorrow I’ll have time. Yes ECB, it sounds like we like our pound cake the same way, unfettered and in the hand! Never had it toasted though…hmmmmm.
Rainy weekend here, and I am relieved. We haven’t had rain for waaaay too long this early. My gardens are crying for it but that pales in comparison to the fields of corn and soybeans that are thirsty!
Need to start Hazeling…have a wonderful Caturday everyone!

Good Caterday morning all! cute pics, PG and it’s always ‘hug your cat day’ at my house 😉
Handy Scotty was here at the crack of dawn ….. he agrees with us, it was good that we fired the A/C people who dropped the ball so, they were just in way over their heads …. the manufacturer rep will be here Monday to assess exactly what system we need, and he and Mr. AV will then do the install themselves …..
KZ, I too need to do some Hazeling, but with the ‘continuous home improvement’ AC project going on, I’m not too motivated ….
EC, the toasted pound cake sounds delish! Mr. AV would really like that …. maybe I’ll whip one up this afternoon …. I always have those ingredients on hand!

Good morning – yep, every day is hug your cat day, though it’s nice that there is a special day designated for it, lest we forget!
What a nice way to have brekkie, ECB – watching nature, and an alligator, wow!
That rain is headed this way later today and tomorrow, KZ. I happened to look at my garden today while feeding the cats and I’ve got peas! Not expecting much as I don’t have a tall enough fence for them to climb, so having any at all is a good thing! The rhubarb is looking good too, probably not enough for a pie, but maybe a tart or two. Strawberry plants are big but no flowers/berries yet.
Hope the a/c project moves forward expeditiously, AV. I’ve been doing the bare minimum here, as I’ve spent much of my time down the valley, or ‘the flats’, as my grandparents called the area.
An interesting rarity here this morning – both Comet and Mac were lounging on the bed…together…with their backs touching! Then Mac got that look in his eye and started bugging Comet. They boxed for a minute or two then Comet took off. I’m sure Leela is happy to be missing that kind of action by spending her time downstairs!

Hug Your Cat Day? We don’t have that here. When Merlin wants a hug – he comes and gets several! Morning, noon and night.

These last few days have been too hot for much hugging, though – finding somewhere to bask in the sun but have a little shade too has been his priority. So at the moment I’m thinking of inventing “Cats – Hug Your Human! Day”.

Yes – it’s me who’s feeling in need right now. But I’ll grab him when it’s his tea time, never fear.

Dear Mr. AV ….. can we have one weekend with no home improvement projects ….. just one where my house isn’t in constant disarray and where Hazel and I don’t have to spend the next week putting things back in order, only to have it torn up again the following weekend! !??! … it’s exhausting and I’ve got a wedding to get ready for …… I love you and appreciate how nice things are, but I need a break!! *steps* off soapbox ….

Just the other day Mr CWS was talking about getting a new pair of Crocs. I do all the online buying, so I was put in the picture about his needs. In return I sent him PG’s photo above . . .
