    Hi,

The only pet store here do not have cat food right now. They said it will take two or three days for it to come back in stock.

So, they provided me with wet dog food. I do understand that cats have different needs than dogs but I am not having a choice and just wishing it doesn’t have any negative effect.

One of the kittens do eat dry kitten food but the other one only wanna eat wet food.

So, will it be OK to give them wet dog food for 2-3 days?

as a general rule you shousl give puppies kitten food but as an emergency dog/puppy food for a day or two shouldn’t hurt but be prepared it probably will cause diarrhoea . what would be safer to give the kitten is fresh raw chicken breast it has to be human grade fresh and that might be more gentle on the kittens stomach.. a small handful 4 times a day should be enough even for a small kitten.. cats seem to be hungry less often when eating raw food

or, if your grocery has jar human baby food – chicken, turkey or lamb, the stage one – for the youngest babies, is very gentle. Make sure you read the label and it’s contents are only the meat and water – that’s all that is in the stage one formulas. It’s also good for older cats, who have digestive issues.
