Bottle fed kitten …having so issuse

Hi Glenice, welcome to TDK! Bless you for rescuing so many cats–you really are the cat lady!!
I think that probably by introducing the KMR to them, it’s just a change in their diet and sometimes that causes diarrhea. Especially since they were doing fine up until that point. Since they are on wet and dry food and also the goat’s milk, they probably don’t need the KMR except for the extra nutrition. The wet and dry food could also be causing the diarrhea. Once their systems get used to the change in food, hopefully they will settle down. They probably need a dewormer too, maybe you could call a vet and get some for the size and age of your kittens, since that could be causing the problem too.

Keep trying with the litter box, making sure that the litter doesn’t have a really strong scent since most cats don’t like a strong scented litter. Bless you also for caring for the special needs cat and keeping him indoors–I’ll never understand people who hurt innocent animals.

You did a good job of saving the little kitten by getting her warm and getting her hydrated with pedialyte and syrup. That is what I would have recommended for you to do when they get lethargic. She may need to be fed more often, or may need more than milk. Especially if she is eating 10 ml at a feeding. Get some wet food, the pate’ kind–with no chunks or shreds and put some on your finger. Let them sniff it and see if they lick it. Good if they do, or you can make a gruel out of food and milk mixed and put it in the bottle and feed it that way. You will have to cut the end of the nipple off to let the gruel out or they will not be able to get the mix out. If they are 5 weeks, they are needing more than just milk and might be why she was lethargic.

Go ahead and use Goats milk and pedialyte for her. Also, put a dab of syrup on her lips, beforehand, so she’ll perk up to eat. I know this is tough for you but, if she won’t take the nipple then use the dropper. You have to get nourishment into her. Some people have had to tube feed so here’s a video on how to do it.

Kits get liquid from their wet food so you needn’t worry about it. My gang has always had water but some TDKers say their kits won’t go near it.

Hopefully, the Goats milk will hep settle her tummy.

You can call local vets. and find if they will provide services and can volunteer at their business. Some vets. need assistance and will make plan with you.
