    Since I’ve been down and out with the flu, I’ve been doing lots of reading while ensconced in my little nest in front of the Christmas tree. I just read the most beautiful book but I have to admit – I cried buckets at the end.

    The Art of Racing in the Rain: A Novel

    by Garth Stein

    I can see why everyone is raving about this book. Well, I have to go and get more kleenex now……

    WWM my Mom’s book group read this one–she loved it too. Guess I will have to read it!

    SM, it is a story told by Enzo, a most remarkable dog. Wonderful reading.

    It’s a fast read, SM. One because it’s just so good and two because the print is large!

    I am supposed to read The Compound next–have a student that says it is the best book ever–I haven’t read it so I promised him I would. Kinda taking a day off today. Made a lasagne and garlic bread for Mr. SM’s people. I have done some laundry and dusting, but I really don’t want to move.

    Oh, dear….. I still can’t bring myself to read or see the movie Marley and Me. And now there is another beautiful doggie story….. getting teary just thinking about it.(Read some reviews)….. and I haven’t had a doggie for over 25 years!!! The puddytats kinda took over, to rule the household……

    12Paws Marley and Me was very good–a bit choked up, but an excellent story!
