    I found a feral kitten in my yard yesterday. She just meows like crazy! When I hold her, she meows and crawls everywhere. She won’t sit still. She has peed with stimulation, but no poop. I don’t know what to do with her. I can’t hold her all day, but I wish I could comfort her so she doesn’t meow all day, and loudly. Any helpful ideas?

    Hi Jennifer, you didn’t say how old you think she may be, but she is probably hungry, cold, and lonely. I am going to post some links for you for hand rearing kittens. First, you need to get a nest box (old cardboard box that is low) and wrap a heating pad with a towel and set on low. A place to crawl off if she gets too warm. Kittens who are not warm cannot digest their food. Next, get some goat’s milk at the grocery in the cold milk section, or in the baking aisle in cans. The canned is condensed so add water 1 to 1. This will be the food that she needs until she is about 4 weeks old. She isn’t going to poop right away, especially going to food other than her mother. Keep us posted and good luck!

    I don’t know how old she is. She walks and her eyes are open. She has taken to eating soft cat food today, and she is now pooping. She still meows all the time. She bites me in the face, so I can’t get her close to it. She is still restless.
