    I got him about a day and a half ago, and he’s very active and playful, and seems to love his new home, but is very food aggressive. When he sees his food, he will claw at my hand and yank my hand towards him until it’s close enough to eat. If you try and touch him, or near his food, he starts hissing/growling. How can I stop this behavior???

    I posted a couple of links for you to look over. Could be a simple thing like he is just hungry. Don’t set yourself up to be clawed–put him in another room while you are preparing his food, then let him out when it’s on the floor. Feed him at the same time everyday so he knows when he will get fed. It may be that he was with other cats and he had to fight for his share of food.
