I found 2 abandoned kittens about 48 hours ago. I took them to the vet yesterday morning and they said that they are probably 5 weeks based on their teeth. They said to feed them gruel. They are eating it well, very eagerly actually and using the bathroom. One is more adventurous and playful than the other but they are both pretty steady on their feet, just different personalities. I’m just worried that they are not really drinking anything. I did not try bottle feeding since they took so easily to the gruel. I kind of feel like it would be going backwards to give them a bottle since they eat. We think their mom is a feral cat and if nothing else I’m glad I found these 2 before they learned to be scared of people like their mom. So… what about them drinking? Should I be concerned or are they getting enough from the water in the gruel? I’m mixing it to a little thinner than wet cat food.
