Franklin
Please join me in meeting and greeting our Star Kit at Easter, Franklin. He is 10 months old from Fresh Meadows, New York.
Little Franklin was part of a group of kittens that were roaming throughout our neighborhood. My wife scooped him up and got him nursed back to health, and he’s now enjoying life living with my sister-in-law.
While he might look adorable, he’s a feisty little guy – and he’ll remind you of that…..

Why is he in a cage, on a leash and with what looks like a tight collar? He doesn’t look very happy.

I have to agree with Oona. This doesn’t look right with the leash, possible tight collar and cage. Franklin does not look like he is enjoying life. Maybe there is a reason for this that we don’t know of but being “feisty” as most kittens are these pics seem like they are restraining him from being what he is just a kitten. I hate to say if being a kitten is not allowed how does someone deal with a cat being a cat. Sorry I really don’t mean to be judgemental I just want to make sure the little guy gets to be a kitten. As I said there may be a good reason for this.
I’m going to ask that you stop to reserve judgments before you know the facts. Franklin was another stray kitten in the neighborhood at the time that we had taken in. There were concerns when he was that size that he could tunnel up into areas of the apartment (such as the radiator) that would have been unsafe for him. Now that he’s a little older and bigger he no longer is on a leash or in a cage.
Know the facts before passing judgment, please.
As I said sorry I don’t mean to be judgemental it is truly from the concern of the photos. I also stated there may be a reason why this was. Which now I know. Concerned only for the animal and now we know why he was penned up like this.
