Please welcome Star Kit duo, Simba & Scar. They are 4 months old from Dallas, Texas.
Simba & Scar were kennel mates at the Dallas Animal Shelter’s medical unit. At 15 weeks old, both kittens were previously treated for ringworm and were currently under medical care for matching Upper Respiratory Infections. They were clearly a bonded pair as they were cuddled up in a corner, seemingly hugging and holding each other as they napped the day way. I call them my Clearance Kitties. Because of their URI’s, they were free for adoption! I definitely was not planning on adopting two kittens that day but an hour later I was on my way home with a pair of seemingly little lions. These two have completely different personalities but are inseparable. They compliment each other perfectly! The perfect Yin and Yang. They’ve been in their new home for about 3 weeks now and have doubled in size. Curious as ever, I find myself wondering why they’re so naturally inclined to look for trouble. They may not be my biological children, but that curious/devious nature must run in the family! This brief little bio is just the start, the story of these two kitties is just beginning to unfold.

Pounce and Pounce…beautiful fur babies. You are indeed blessed!!
So nice that you brought those two cuties home!
A wee lion and a mini-panther! You’ll have fun.
With Simba and Scar you’ve scored a lap lion and a parlour panther! Im so glad that you opted to adopt these “Clearance” kitties and that you kept them together. You’re a rock star! Under your care may they continue to thrive! 🙂
Enjoy your 2 adorable darlings!!!
Simba and Scar look like a pair to draw to. Love the names from the Lion King given to sweet little furballs. I also adopted a bonded pair and it was the best thing ever. The skittish one is now a sweetheart and the one that used to be friendly has turned into a hiding cat as we hardly ever see him except at feeding time. Nice save and kudos for keeping them together in a “furever” home.
It is wonderful that you came home with 2 kitties that day! Having 2 is no more trouble than 1. So happy for you as you watch them grow.
