Please join us in welcoming our latest Star Kit, Gita. She is a 4 month old Orange Tabby from Millbrook, New York.
We found her in our yard at 6 weeks old. She was extremely dehydrated and couldn’t walk. We took her in and immediately started caring for her around the clock. I would wake up every 2 hours to feed her in the night which continued for a few weeks, even after seeing the vet. We noticed when we found her that she had a nasty scratch on her eye that slowly formed into a scab. She also had a head tilt and she would stumble and fall over to one side when she walked. The vets thought that she would always have it and be debilitated. But she all of a sudden got better and is now running around like crazy turning my room upside down.

Miss Gita is a lovely, lovely ginger girl! I’m so glad you found each other. My little Polly was also blind in one eye (from birth) and when she was tiny she would rock her head when she walked. As she grew and got better at judging distances and spaces she rocked less and less – maybe that’s why the beautiful Miss Gita has also stopped stumbling?
Very cute little orange tabby girl. I get confused; is it orange tabby or red tabby? Maybe it depends on what part of the country you live in. Or is lighter orange the orange and darker orange the red? Can anyone enlighten me? Good save. All cats/kittens need love and care. Glad she chose your yard.
