Penny

Please give a huge TDK welcome to our newest Star Kit, Penny. She is a 12 year old DSH from Athens, Georgia.

Penny

I adopted Penny when she was 14 weeks old from the veterinary clinic where she and her brother and sister are now patients. She was climbing the bars of her kennel, which was located in the waiting room. She was meowing like crazy, wanting attention and wanting to be taken out of that kennel. When she was given to me, she sat on my left hand with my right hand supporting her back. She leaned over and licked my left thumb, and I was in love. She spent her entire first evening in her new home running around the living room chasing a toy, while her 6-year-old sister, Buttercup, watched from the top of a large entertainment center we used to have. Buttercup had a look on her face, as if to say, “What is that, and why did you bring it in here?”

Penny is now twice the age that Buttercup was at their first meeting. She is the matriarch of our little family, which includes Cedar and Sheree.
